@Prats1993 @vannacut Allowing people who buy high end PCs to actually utilize the technology they've paid for - how is that lazy?
It's good to see more games taking advantage of more CPU cores. I'm using less than 10% of my CPU while playing most games so it will be good to see it put to use.
What you need is more ways to spam your friends, asking them to play the game. More microtransactions. More breaks where the game stops & makes you pay to keep playing.
@Snakepond1 Have a look at TotalBiscuit's vid on youtube. It's not a full review but it will give you a pretty good idea of what actual gameplay is like. He talks about the problems with the game, but shows enough that you can make up your own mind.
I'm increasingly finding that a score is much less valuable than someone actually talking about what is good & bad in the game. A number without much detail on how they came up with it is not very useful.
I find it interesting that things like Google Glass are coming out now after games have been following a trend of losing HUDs for the past few years.
Trying to read a map while driving in FC2 was a pretty interesting experience but I think FC3 was a far superior game. One thing I hated about FC2 was that there was one intersection where some enemies would hang out & EVERY time I tried to drive past, they would respawn & I'd have to deal with them again. It ruined the feeling of progression.
I agree with what this guy was saying about the E3 trailer though. The Japanese gameplay footage that came out recently just showed a cutscene & a fairly run-and-gun style of play & it wasn't nearly as compelling.
I feel so oversaturated with AC. There's not enough time between games for any real innovation & the marketing budget is too big. AC3 had barely come out before they started put trailers up for AC4.
AC2 was the most fun. Stretching that story out accross 3 games was definitely too much though. AC3 was OK but it felt like there were too many objectives, it didn't allow for much free play. Plus the crafting & trading system was terrible.
I have finished all the games so far (not counting handheld) but I'm kind of looking forward to them wrapping up the story so I can be done with it. They need to leave at least 2 years before the next installment. I'm really looking forward to Watchdogs, but they're bound to ruin that with yearly installments too.
@Tomdogg It has definitely been overhyped a bit. I'd give it a solid 8/10.
I put in about 46 hours & finished it in around a week. All the sandbox stuff gets a bit old if you've done it in previous GTA games, there's not a whole lot of innovation. I haven't picked it up since I finieshed the main story but I'll have another jam when online opens up.
