@videogameninja: I really don't like those trailers with some woman explaining everything you're seeing. I think the first one I remember was the E3 trailer for The Division. It just feels like it's talking down to the audience.
I don't think it's necessarily aimed at investors, we didn't hear about the online mode & all the monetisation options. It did feel weird though, no "wow" moments.
I really enjoyed the first RDR but I'm not super hyped for this. I thought GTA V was good but it was very much more of the same thing I'd played before. RDR2 looks like it's going to be a new skin on gameplay that we've seen in at least 20 other games over the last few years.
@Gelugon_baat: DE gives streamers & reviewers a bunch of platinum. Even so, it's a very difficult game to review, it can take hundreds of hours to understand some aspects of the game. Giving the game a review is no small undertaking.
If they were going to do an updated review, perhaps they should wait for Fortuna or even Railjack. Technically the game is still in beta, maybe if they ever admit their game is finished...
Warframe is big enough at the moment anyway, they don't need another review from GS. There is plenty of Youtube coverage & new people discovering the game, doing their own reviews. I started playing in February & I'm constantly seeing new people trying the game. You're right that word of mouth is working.
I'm glad all the people that paid for this 2 years ago finally got the game they wanted. Hopefully a few lessons about pre-ordering have been learned in the process.
I'm still more interested in the tech behind the game & how it might be implemented in future titles. Star Citizen & Warframe are both developing systems where the player can travel from a planet into space without loading screens. The random generation system is pretty cool but I'd like to see similar stuff in a game with more narrative or action elements.
Vampyr was fun but the combat is horribly broken in my opinion. The controls are completely unresponsive. I felt like I was battling the controller in my hand more than the enemies on the screen.
I normally play a harder difficulty if I do a second playthrough but I'd consider playing story mode to get the "good" ending if I was going to play again.
@fivepercent: Nope, you don't see my protest for anyone because I'm not protesting. I'm bemoaning the current state of society, not standing in the street, trying to get someone's job back.
