@proceeder: 3rd person cams are usually pretty bad when the game is built for first person. All the animations & movement are designed around FPP so it looks like they're floating over the ground, wobbling their legs when you change the camera.
I really dislike FPP, I don't think it's more immersive at all. maybe one day VR will be good enough but right now, FPP games don't come anywhere close to emulating how I see the world. For a start, I don't walk around with my hands up by my chin.
I really hate that they've gone with FPP, it's going to bring down almost every moment of the game for me. I have great memories of Skyrim but literally every moment of it was made worse for me because it was designed for FPP. TPP in that game was fine for looking at your cool armour but pretty bad for combat or navigating the world.
@aross2004: For a start, don't use in-game voice chat. A lot of people mute it by default so they won't hear you anyway. Use Discord on your phone if anything.
@Marky360: Youtube search Warframe beginner's guide. There are a few great videos there, iFlynn's ones helped me a lot. There's a Warframe PC group on facebook where there are a lot of helpful folks too.
Warframe has one of the most helpful communities, probably because everyone knows the struggle of trying to learn all the systems to begin with. Jump in Recruiting chat in-game & ask people to help you through any hard missions or taxi you to a different node to farm some resources.
Find a clan too. Any clan that has researched a lot of weapons will be good & it might be a useful way to find people willing to help too. Some clans have Discord channels if you want to voice chat.
I got into Warframe around 4 months ago & at 480+ hours, it's become my most played game ever.
Mentioning the review score at launch is pretty irrelevant 5 years into the development of the game. It looked pretty average at launch with a business model that wasn't great but it's a fantastic game now. Warframe certainly isn't a perfect game but there's so much that keeps me wanting to play when other MMOs haven't grabbed me at all.
If you own a Switch, definitely give this game a try. It's free & I played a good 40 hours before I felt like I had to spend any money (you can totally play without spending a cent but your progression will be slower). Fair warning though - the game is complex & you'll spend a lot of time looking up the wiki. It's a bit of an entry barrier but the complexity is what gives the game longevity. iFlynn does a good series of beginner videos, watch those if you want a good intro to the game.
@lonesamurai1: Nvidia makes good products & currently has better performance than AMD's offerings but I don't need to praise them & spout their marketing lines every time I see a trailer for a new game.
