@si2k78: So I have to buy a US$300 piece of hardware before I'm allowed an opinion? I have to pay them money before I can decide that it's not worth my money?
I have this button, it looks like an ordinary plastic button but actually it's the best thing in the world. It will bring you happiness & joy all your life. If you'd like to buy one, it's only $1000. If you'd like to tell me my buttons aren't worth $1000, you have to buy one from me first before you can truly understand.
I'm really looking forward to playing this on PC. Nier Automata is not a great example to look at though. Fantastic game, but there hasn't been a single patch since launch. Considering there's a bug where the game can't even run in fullscreen for a lot of people, that's incredibly poor support.
I hope they have SLI support too, it looks like FFXV will need a lot of horsepower to run well so being able to use both my 970s would be great.
@BLiTZ_156: That may well have been a limitation due to the power of the console. Hopefully they don't try to use the tech from AC Unity but games like Hitman or the Witcher 3 are both good examples of well populated cities.
I'm a PC gamer since forever. I did most of my gaming on PS2 & PS3 for a few years but came back to PC again & haven't looked back. As someone who never played Nintendo when I was a kid, I really don't get the hype for the company.
They make plenty of G rated family games but as an adult gamer, it seems like nostalgia has been the only real driver for people's love of endless Mario games in every genre imaginable.
That said, it really does look like Nintendo are making a comeback this year. They're still not doing a great job of introducing new IP but Zelda BOTW & Mario-Com look like they're actually decent games. There's no way I'm buying a Switch, I mean there are a bunch of PS4 exclusives that I haven't played yet because I still don't feel like they're worth buying a console for, I'm not buying a Nintendo console just for a couple of games.
Three or four great games in a year is excellent for a console launch, I do wonder if they can keep it up though. They've been making a lot of weird business decisions for a long time & I'm not convinced they've suddenly started caring about making good games again. I'm not upset that people like Nintendo, I'm glad they're finally making some games that I might actually consider playing. It would be even better if they got less paranoid & let people play their games without buying their weaksauce console first. Or if they let Youtubers put footage of their games in a video without claiming revenue for the whole thing.
So yeah, they've made a couple of good games. I wouldn't go singing their praises just yet.
@jbwzrd213: Yeah, I understand that but it's still an abuse of piracy law. It helps set the standard that it's OK for devs & publishers to take down videos that criticise their game. It helps set the standard that it's OK for Nintendo to claim all the money from any video that shows a small amount of footage from their game.
You could probably argue that using that word as an insult perpetuates negative stigma in society etc. so there are still victims.... but that's probably not going to convince you. If you have to ask why using that word in that way is racist, then you probably are too. I'll just leave you to think about that.
These guys are scum. I hope they have no viewers left.
Pushing gambling on to kids is a low move, lying about owning the company just makes it worse. The US legal system is a joke, somebody actually needs to sue these guys to get any kind of punitive action.
