@AttackOfTheCat: If you want a handheld, it looks like a great one. If you want to play all the latest AAA releases as they come out, it's probably not going happen.

"Worth getting" depends on who's using it. It's probably more of an an addition to your gaming arsenal than a replacement.

@gamzly47: I think you're right that this is a handheld first & a console second. It's probably a system gamers will want to have in addition to a PC or console rather than a replacement. Especially if they want to have the option of playing most AAA games & not just the few that get ported to this less powerful machine.

A game based on a movie. What could possibly go wrong?

@bigrob007: You just download one file with the patch included meaning you won't notice any difference. I didn't think there was room for confusion but there you go.

@Zensword: If it's a digital download then you own't notice any difference. If you buy a disc, you get the benefit of a few extra weeks of optimisation.

@sakaixx: I like both but I think a lot of people prefer emergent storytelling to a badly done linear narrative.

I really enjoyed the roleplaying in Fallout 1 & 2, personally I found that the ability to roleplay a character provided more interesting stories than any molerats I stumbled across in Fallout 3. Those early games had excellently crafted story & more memorable moments for me than any open worlds I've explored.

@sellingthings: Does that tablet even have a discrete GPU?

Powering a screen is one thing, powering a graphics chip which has to render 3D graphics is more difficult. A 10" tablet probably has a lot more space for a battery than a device with a 6.2" screen too.

@chiefwiggum16: The Vita is over 5 years old so that's not exactly setting the bar high.

@Terrorantula: It does kinda suck but there are benefits for having a non-swappable battery. Ingress protection can be significantly improved but most significantly, manufacturing costs can be reduced. That's most;y a benefit for the manufacturer but theoretically that means they can hit a lower price point.

These days, portable chargers are pretty common & can be used to charge multiple devices so it's not really a huge issue.

@turok0: Not really. It's more like a handheld that happens to plug into a TV really easily.
