So I just got done reading the cover story, "Battlestation!", in the March issue of EGM. And to get a bit off track, EGM seems to have improved its writing. I used to read EGM many years ago, but stopped because the publication went down hill in my opinion. And since I was an OPM subscriber, I was given a 7 month subscription to EGM for free.
Anyways, back on topic. Incase you haven't read it, EGM did an interview with Sony SECA president and CEO Jack Tretton. And well, through out the entire interview everything that he said appeared very egotistical and "We're better then everyone else and you don't know what your talking about"-ish. And well, it seems to be the attitude that Sony has been carrying since the PS3 launch.
Yes Jack, the Playstation brand has been a good one. But, that doesn't mean that your name alone is going to carry you to the top. And may I say that the Wii has done what the PS2 and PSone has done in getting non-gamers into gaming. Rumble is very important. Oh and one last thing, I know for a fact that my Best Buy has had some PS3s that have been at our store for a week or longer. They are not flying off of store shelves.
As, some of you may know, I've been a Sony fan since I first played a PSX. And when the Xbox came out I was very much so against it. But, to be honest I feel that Sony is not treating its customers and gamers as a whole right. And Microsoft is doing a lot of the right things with gaming (I still don't like Windows).
Sony I need only say this to you. If you wish for me and many others to purchase a PS3 you will do the right thing and listen to us. We have a lot to say. And if you decide that you don't want to listen, then we shall speak with our wallets and spend that $600+ on an Xbox 360 and a Wii.
I still love my PS2 and PSP.

A Quick Fix

Well, yesterday my 2 years of school at LTI came to a close and I'm now the proud owner of an Associates Degree in Computer Graphics Design. This week was pretty hectic trying to get my portfolio done, and I'm glad its finished.
I also had a job interview today with Zappos.com. Don't know if I'll get it or not yet, won't know for about 3 weeks or so. But, thats it for now. Off to work at Best Buy I go!

Wii Logo Animation

So the whole point of this blog is to just show off an animation I did a few months ago for a class project. I think that it will be pretty self explanatory. So what do you think?

Back From The Land Of Computer Repair
by bizsumpark182 on Comments
I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't been around for the last couple of days. Well, I've been wiping out my hard drive and then reinstalling everything for the past couple of days. Its just something that I do every year, but this year I had to do it without warning. So I'm back now. And my computer is better then it ever has been.
Oh, and I watched the first Volume of Trinity Blood. Very good anime so far, can't wait to get the second volume. Although I don't know when that will be. Until next time...

Yep, what you see above is new. If you want to see the original, and the rest of my art stuff, check out my Deviant Art webpage.
And before you ask, no I didn't draw all that. I used a generator and then used photoshop to make a couple of changes. Until next time...

Nascar

As I'm sure alot of you don't know the Daytona 500 was yesterday. And it had one of the craziest finishes in NASCAR history. If you are interested and want to know what I'm talking about, just go and watch this video.
Now for those of you who don't know the Daytona 500 is NASCAR's biggest event of the year. Yes its at the beginning of the season. But for drivers winning the Daytona 500 is like the Colts winning the Super Bowl or the Redsoxs winning the World Series or even France winning the World Cup.
Since I've been in a NASCAR mood lately I decided to go ahead and write a review for NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup. If your interested check it out. Well thats it for now. Until next time...

I spent the past hour cutting down the number of people I was tracking from 87 to 26. Now that doesn't mean that I don't want anyone tracking me. If your interested in what I'm doing then feel free to track me.
But to be honest there are only a handful of people that I really pay attention to. And because I had so many people I was tracking I've been missing out on a lot of blogs. Well, thats it for now. Until next time...

36 hrs and a do over on the PS3
by bizsumpark182 on Comments
First things first, some small updates. I have finally posted the System Wars Newsletter for the week. Also this week I have written a review for NBA 2K6 (PS2). Funny thing is, its the first review for it in about eight months or so. I've also hit level 23! I'm now a Super Bagman!!! WooT!
Second thing, Wendsday morning I woke up at about 11:30 am. Now why is that important? Because I didn't goto sleep until about 11:30 pm Thursday night. A solid 36hrs of no sleep. I didn't do it by choice, I just couldn't sleep. Great thing is I was fine all day, hell I was working better then I normally do. But, the drive home I was seeing things running across the road...they weren't real.
Anyways to the point of this whole blog. Now I don't know how many of you read Game Informer but in the February 2007 issue they interviewed Gabe Newell (Founder/Managing Director of Valve Software). Towards the end of the interview they asked him a simple question:
I personally think that if Sony did a "do over" that you would never see another Playstation. They would lose to much money and not to mention fans from the people who have bought a PS3. Well until next time...

The PS3 is a total disaster on so many levels. I think it's really clear that Sony lost track of what customers wanted and waht developers wanted. I'd say, even at this late date, they should just cancel it and do a "do over." Just say, "This was a horrible disaster and we're sorry and we're going to stop selling this and stop trying to convince people to develop for it." The happy story Wii. I'm betting that by Christmas of next year, the Wii has a larger installed base then the 360. Other people tink I'm crazy. I really like everything that Nintendo is doing. Gabe Newell

A [for awesome] F I
by bizsumpark182 on Comments
So yesterday me and some friends went to Cinncinati, Ohio to see AFI play at Bogarts (a famous bar in Cincy). This was the second time that I got to see them play live, but the first was at Warped Tour so that didn't count as much.
They did have a couple of opening acts. The first one was some emo band that really sucked. The next was Sick of It All (a personal fav of Davey). They were damn awesome! I couldn't believe how great they were.
Of course AFI played afterwards. Their performance was just amazing! The lights, the music, Davey's voice...it was all so beautiful. This was by far the greatest performance I have ever seen by a band. They really did captivate your soul and...well you would have to have been there.
If you have never heard AFI then go here and check out their myspace for a bit of a preview.
