[QUOTE="ferrari2001"]Has a significant traumatic event happened in your life recently? If not then you do not have PTSD. worlock77
Traumatic events do not have to have happened recently for one to have PTSD. And you should probably leave the psychiatric diagnosis's to a licensed psychiatrist.
This. The trauma can be something that happened long ago but is still bugging the person on a certain level. However, @TC you do need to talk to your therapist (licensed psychiatrist or psychologist/counsellor) about this. It may help if you bring it up during a session and discuss whatever issue it is. Just opening up about it in a personally safe environment may be a huge step to recovery from it.
note i said"personally safe environment."
A public internet forum is not that because we are anonymous posters and you open yourself up to the possibility of bullying. Your friends/relatives may not be that if the issue affects them. Your therapy session is the safest place where you can explore that personal issue, and possible coping solutions.
Realize too that most psychiatric and emotional disturbances are not acute illnesses, they are less likely to be completely cured even if you know exactly what you are dealing with and have the perfect tools to fix it. Even with all that, you will need good maintenance, great support, a safe environment and your own willpower and commitment to get better and stay okay.
what is wrong with me pc-ps360Oh no, you are securely playing games that you personally enjoy (on a variety of systems). People must think you immature for liking nintendo games. Well, maybe if you fall for peer pressure, become insecure in what you play, and impulsively harass other people over their personal tastes THEN you'll be M Mature17+ in their eyes... If you like Halo, play Halo, if you like Mario, play mario. If you like em both, I hope you have time to play them both. Be a gamer, not a pleaser.
