OK I understand why they were raised around the time the new consoles launched starting with when the 360 came out. At that time production cost for games on a new platform was very high and whatever the case may be.

demon-returns

Hardware cost have gone down since, but production cost continue to rise as expecations continue to raise, and they will continue to rise as gamers continute to expect more from games.

If I have to sign for something, then it's just "thanks" and "have a good day".

Though more often than not, the UPS or Fedex guys just leave it at the door.

[QUOTE="getyeryayasout"]Nintendo desperately needs 3rd party support though. Porting games is a cheap and easy way for 3rd parties to make inroads with the Ninty faithful. getyeryayasout

Ports are really the last thing it needs. The market is so oversatued with multiplats that a system getting a port is pretty irrevleant nowadays, espeically since most people who own Wiis probbaly got one of the HD twins as well. As I've been saying, it's in a rare situation where it needs third party exclusives more than it needs ports to say it has credible third-party support.

I get what you're saying, but it's hard to argue with the importance of multiplats when you look at how well the 360 has performed this gen.

Much of the X360 sucess is at the expense of sony's stumbles, not because of the ports.

Don't like it. I never liked it tbh. I hated it when it was cool back in the day, and I hate it now. I don't want it in my games and i don't want it in my movies... I think just like last time, it will eventually go away as well.

Sounds ok to me, but is 3D needed in every gaming system? I think 3DS and PS3 were the only ones that really need it

AvatarMan96

IMHO, no, but it's the cool thing to do nowadays. For Sony in particular, they only pump 3d because they also sell 3D TVs. So they are kinda doing themselves (and other TV makers) a favor by increasing the availability of 3D content in the market. via games.

Having said all that though, 3D is a gmmick and will always be a gimmick to me, so I can care less if the Wiiu has it. I don't even watch movies in 3D because it makes my head hurt.

Nope never cared.

TBH, I never cared about any online stats either. I just play games to have fun.

If you want to strech it though, only stats I only ever cared about was getting 100%+ completion in certain platform games back in the day and seeing if I could max out stats on RPG characters, but I'm assuming you were talking about rankings : p.
