You can skip certain bosses in many of the Castlevania games, although it is often the case that by doing so you will fail to get a certain key item, so you will be unable to complete your quest...

Yeah, I went around watering all of them until I realized that it is to signal the start of Spring; they are supposed to be Cherry Blossom Trees, even if they happen to grow oranges and coconuts...

Is there any evidence that this is real? I can find no reference to any such regulation on the Kansas State Board of Education's website, or a reference to this on any other web-site or news source. I wouldn't be suprised if the KSDE banned video games in schools, but to single out ONE game for references to evolution seems rather far-fetched (though not impossible of course)...

I would like to see something completely new and unique...otherwise I would enjoy new versions of Samurai Shodown and Street Fighter (if only because the price of a sealed copy of Street Fighter for the GBA is getting out of hand). I imported Bleach 2nd not long after it was released...

To varying degrees:

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

Brooktown High: Senior Year

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (the reason I am buying a PSP)

Crazy Taxi (Fare Wars)

Crush

Dead Head Fred

Disgaea PSP

Painkiller: Hell Wars

Riviera

Tenchu: Time of the Assassins

...and if they are released:

Persona

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner

Not all games utilize a server:

"A game like Mario Kart doesn't require servers since the DS units speak directly to each other when the "match-making" is done. Therefore, "match-making" has no cost associated with it." (from N-Sider, 2005)

For those games that do require servers, the cost is passed on to the publisher to keep the server running (unless of course Nintendo is the publisher).

It seems to me that the connectivity of the DS Lite (and especially the Wii) is an integral component to it's continued success. Add to this Nintendo's record for backward compatability and it doesn't seem like WiFi will be going away anytime soon, probably not even after the next gen handheld comes out (whatever it may be)...

I prefer the fighting style/graphics of Bleach (2nd), but many prefer JUS. There are some in depth reviews/videos on youtube, especially of the latter. Jump Ultimate Stars is also about $10 cheaper right now at Play-Asia (they are having a sale until April 5th).

Considering how many great RPGs there are on the GBA (which you can of course play on the DS), I am a little suprised that we haven't seen more of this genre so far (not that I am OUTRAGED or anything). I am anticipating Etrian Odyssey quite a bit though...
