@Richardthe3rd: it's not about me making a point. I just hate when people spew crap and then act like it's truth.
"Indies often provide the progress that AAA companies refine." if it's something that happens often then you shouldn't need to split hairs about it.
also in the case of doom (from the 90s), almost everyone were independent developers at the time so you can't use that to define indie progress of today. doom were like an AAA game in its time. you remember halo was supposed to be a mac title from newly formed independent studio bungie which Microsoft snapped up and turned AAA?
the gaming landscape is absolutely different now than in the 90s. in today's definition, there is a difference between an independent developer and an "indie" developer. an independent developer is a well established developer who make AAA games like respawn, bungie, etc who often rely on a publisher, while an "indie" developer is one that does small non-AAA games and often self-publish.
there are no progress by indies which are being refined by AAA game companies. also, no one said indie devs don't create great games or that non turns into bigger companies who make triple A games.
your statement: "Indies often provide the progress that AAA companies refine" is complete bullshiiit.
@blufalconultra: says the guy who eats up every word every Sony exec says. Go read his history and see how he bashes everything Microsoft and xbox while priases Sony and ps4. The bias is strong in this one.
