[QUOTE="Heil68"] I read it, I"m just stating why it failed to delver to me personally. I didn't think it was big revelation on your part stating the obvious fact that the Wii has pathetic 3rd party support.MFDOOM1983

Pathetic isn't the word I'd use. It's got many strong 3rd party titles, you just have to look for them.

Pathetic sounds about right.

So you have diligently scouted for 3rd party games on the Wii? If you have, then I'd assure you that there is a good number of great 3rd party titles. Just none of them are multiplats.

They haven't completely justified its existence. They want to stop piracy (allegedly) but it does very little to actually hinder it. IF it prevented piracy, I'd be all for it, but it doesn't. So I'm not a fan. I don't hate it with a passion, though, as some others do. Same with online passes.

[QUOTE="lordlors"][QUOTE="Heil68"]If it wasn't for Zelda the Wii would be a total failure to me. Having 2 Zelda games does not make up for the system as a whole, it's been a major disappointment. Heil68
What are you talking about? Did you read my main post? Please read it first before you post in my thread.

No. Simply put, there is little implication as to how next-gen will fare because it's dependant on so many factors. Some might think this gen sucks, others love it. I don't think this gen is the best, but it's not the worst, and on it goes for everyone. You can zero in on exclusive factors (for instance, some people love CoD and would say that this gen rocks), others might prefer simplicity and accessability etc. The same goes for any generation past and future.

[QUOTE="charlesdarwin55"]Skyrim will drop the soap in front of dark soulsJankarcop

DS couldn't even beat Oblivion and FO3 in metacritic or gamerankings.

Better hope for a miracle.

I thought DS was better than both Oblivion and FO3, I don't care how it compares on MC and GR. Last time I checked, Demon's Souls beat a few games that were 9.5s on this exact site two years ago. Clearly, score has little to do with whether or not it will win.

People who doesn't know anything? lol wut?

Mograine

Is that all you can come up with?

"People" is an indefinite collective. It can be used a singular noun, mr. grammar nazi.

"Doesn't" isn't correct in that direct sentence, not in traditional English, anyway. And breaking Godwin's law isn't a strong argument either. No offence to you, pointing out a grammar flaw in a comment isn't a strong argument either, just sayin'.

I won't vote, since I've only played SSFIV, but by just observing the mechanics, characters and structure, I'd probably choose SSFIV. It's a perfect combination of complexity and simplicity, and it's highly controllable. I still like Brawl the most, though, of this generation.

Get ready for the hating :P

As for the innovation itself:

1. I don't think there is any definite future in gaming. No system will overtake the other. I think joypads and motion-gaming will co-exist, neither one consuming the other.

2. I think motion-sensing is great, not as sure about motion-tracking. Motion-sensing retains a gaming-like structure, while motion-tracking is to me too dependant on the motion, less on the making of mechanics. The Wii uses motion-sensing, Move uses motion-tracking.

3. The innovation itself is clever. It undeniably opens up a new dimension in how you play games. Playing an FPS-styIe game on the Wii is fantastic, it's personally one of my favorite control schemes ever. A shame there aren't many FPSs on the Wii (good ones, that is).

It's supposedly addictive, though I don't even understand that. The only games I get addicted to are games I think are well made (Monster Rancher 2 all the way). People seemingly just like to play the game. I can't fathom it, though.

But it did deliver :? Just not in terms of 3rd party. It has SMG2, that is enough for me. Then there are the other great 1st party titles and the occasional great third party creation. I'm honestly happy that it was not HD, it made the devs focus on gameplay, not being realistic.

LegatoSkyheart

I think TC was talking mostly between 3rd Party of Wii and 3rd Party of the "HD" Consoles.

Not so much as 3rd Party of the Wii in general which is surprisingly good.

That does make more sense. I've always liked the 3rd party support of the Wii, but as you say, comparitively it isn't as strong.
