If this is true, piracy will be a little less of a concern considering I'll just go back to being a Playstation owner. I'm not going to spend my money on the tv, game, and console to have my game time ruined because something goes wrong with my internet. All that money spent and I have to rely on my internet provider in the end.
After Brotherhood I would of told you I loved the Assassin's Creed franchise about as much as any other franchise. Then when they announced "Revelations", I pretty much gave up because it was too soon, I didn't care, and I still really don't care. They say "as long as the quality remains" people will still want it. From what I was told (because I still don't really want to spend money on it) Revelations had a lot of issues.
I managed to get excited for ACIII only to be greatly disappointed. I found it so dull and broken I still haven't even beaten it to this day. They've thrown all their focus in the wrong directions and if they continue down this path, I couldn't care less about the future of Assassin's Creed.
I generally don't get excited for military FPS games, but this has got my full attention. Battlefield 3 was solid all around and this one looks like it'll continue to please.
@Jonno621 @camverge @Joutja Exactly, even if you're not a completionist, it still makes you feel bad. It just feels like they're saying "pffffft, if you were any good at this, you would of done it the way we wanted you to do it." and then I feel like an idiot.
@Joutja @camverge Yep, it almost seems like they were trying to force replay value. I would just play through, get what I could, and then go back and try to do all that I could. Only problem was, when I went back through it I wasn't enjoying myself. I understand wanting to give the player a challenge, but this wasn't a fun challenge, it was just more of a hastle.
When they say " the original's open-ended assassinations" I hope this means they're going away from the "do these 5 things to get full sync. on this assassination". I understand that you can ignore the measures they put before you, but being as anal as I am with achievements I feel I need to do them. Yet at the same time I can't help but feel frustrated because I want to finish the game by playing the way I want to play, not get sucke in to one path they steer me into. That to me was a major downfall of ACIII. From what I've heard of this one so far, it's really sparked an interest in the franchise that I thought was long gone.
I've always loved the Killzone series, yet always had a problem with their clunky aiming. I'd like to blame the person's skills who is playing the demo, but it yet again looks like aiming could be kind of delayed.
The game does looks amazing though, I always felt Killzone had the edge on visuals when it came to the FPS genre. It speaks volumes about a game when I'm as picky as I am and can still look past the aiming mechanic problem and enjoy the hell out of this series.
