There is also a website [Mass Effect Saves or something] that has a ton of different PC saves covering a wide variety of situations. If you don't want to fool with Gibbed then that is your best bet [you get an option to "reconstruct" your face when you start playing ME 2, even w/ an imported save - so you can get back your exact character from ME 1]

Roleplaying is when you take on the role of your character. You create a story for your character and usually use emotes as a way of talking. So is this game free or not? Some of you are saying you canceled your subscription. This guy wants to know.sexygirl6t9
It is a hybrid. It is free to enter and play with an in game store to purchase quest packs, fluff items, etc [like DDO]. Optionally you can subscribe just like any other premium MMO. For LotRO [and DDO] the Free to Play is just a subscription option, not a complete makeover removing paid subs.

Others have answered the question pretty well :) I always suggest checking out a game's forums to get a handle on community activity - forums.lotro.com in this case. Also, the community is due to become quite a bit more active as Turbine is taking over control of all EU servers/accounts starting June 1st [removing Codemasters from the loop], that will bring quite a few more players to the boards and servers [though many will likely stay on the EU servers that are transferred, but you will probably see a bit of cross pollination as time goes on]. The LotRO community is one of the best I have been a part of in many many years - we have our oddballs, idiots, and trolls of course; but for the most part the community is stellar as a whole.

A few mods I like are: - No More Cliff Racers [I hate the buggers] - Improved Faces [makes NPC's look much better] - Clean Tales of Seyda Neen [adds some quick quests to the Seyda Neen area that add some flavor and adventure] - Adul's Library Revised [+ Portable Library - requires MWSE] - allows me to collect books to my hearts content [basic mod adds a Library to the outskirts of Vivec, portable library adds a "pocket hole" library you can gain access to by finding an item in a dungeon] - A Strange Death - adds a player purchasable house to Seyda Neen with a small quest attached - Books of Vvardenfell - adds a ton of new books to the game and, of course, the Morrowind Code Patch

Not effective Immediately. Effective June 1st - http://www.lotro.com/news/pressreleases/1160 I don't believe the migration option is even available yet, but as soon as it becomes available then Codemasters players should initiate transfer and follow all instructions to the "T" to forestall potential issues. Turbine has gotten some experience doing the migration with the DDO transfer, but it is best to be safe rather than sorry.

You got a decent answer, but I was going to suggest just searching YouTube for one of the many great LPers run throughs of the game. The search term "witcher, lets play, playlist" will bring back a bunch of playlist results for LP's of the game and some are quite good. I keep trying to go back to Witcher but it always ends up putting me off - I don't know what it is about it but I find myself losing interest quite quickly. I will force myself through it at some point to see if it gets better later [though when I tried that with DA 2 I ended up being more annoyed :/ [personal opinion folks - yeah, a disclaimer.. but there is always one nit who will pick apart the tiniest thing]]

It seems like they want a little more money from PC market...

I hope the game will flop very badly on PC...This kind of dumb games are meant for console only...

Pedro

So a complete UI overhaul, new difficulty, more game content, and tons of bug fixes that plauged the Xbox release isn't good enough for you?

You should know by now that you can't please some PC gamers.

No, it is that you can't please some people. It has nothing to do with what platform they prefer.

To add to the dual boot suggestions: If you want to dual boot but are not comfortable with partitioning, MBR modifications, boot loaders, etc then I would suggest looking into Wubi [wubi.com]. It allows you to install Linux [Ubuntu specifically for Wubi] like an application in Windows (and uninstall it the same way). It does the work of editing the windows boot menu, allows you to create a custom sized "disk drive" file [that can expand up to a set limit or is static at a set limit] and generally makes it much easier for people to try out linux full time without the hassle of partitioning/worrying about boot loaders, etc. [it is free, like Ubuntu]

No one knows how good the game might be until it is released. All of the hype in the world will not be able to cover a flop [though some people will convince themselves it is the best thing "evar" and appoint themselves "enlighteners" to argue with folks who don't like it]. They can say anything they want to before the game releases - promise the world, the best updates, special differences between platforms, etc... but it all boils down to what actually gets released. It is not uncommon for a dev house to have to chop features/fixes because of time constraints. PR screenshots always look good. That is because they are tuned up a bit/done in a pristine environment/and have to be approved by the "powers that be". No publisher/pr firm/etc would even consider releasing a screenshot collection that made their game look like junk [even if it does look bad when actually playing]. Wait until release. Wait until there is more actual hands on data. Then get excited or disappointed. To say "It will be the best game evar!" or "It will suck worse than any game ever made" before the game is fully developed and out there is just foolhardy.
