... Er.. huh? What are you talking about? What cave? What test? I am having trouble understanding what you are asking for assistance with - maybe it would be better if you looked at a full walkthrough for the mod quests: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Knights_of_the_Nine

[QUOTE="rpgs_shall_rule"]

[QUOTE="IamBEASTMODE"]

^^ My Vista is 32 bit (whatever that means), could that be the problem?

IamBEASTMODE

I've played D2 in Vista 32-bit. Of course, that wasn't the demo. The demo sucks.

Thanks but i don't want to buy the game and then find that it won't work either, are problems with the demo frequent?

Diablo 2 (and expansion pack) worked fine for me on Vista 32 and work fine for me now on Windows 7 64. One thing people tend to forget is that demos rarely contain final fixes/updates that make older games run on modern systems - they tend to be development branch forks of a certain snapshot of code, with just enough content to let a player see if the game is for them. Unfortunately that means they tend to have big issues with more modern operating systems. [Take Freedom Force & Freedom Force vs The Third Reich for example - the demos for both of those games do not run on Vista/7 without major issues, but the full games run 100% fine].

Microsoft hasn't done much work in updating/optimizing the GFWL client or resource libraries - thus many games using it can have issues for some users [Fallout 3 for me crashes much more often if I have GFWL enabled - which I don't thanks to a disabler utility so I can use some of the more extensive mod packages]. Some of the hate is due to just outright wanton hatred to anything with the Microsoft logo, or anything that might possibly be connected to the XBox [and all associated social stereotypes therein]. Like alot of hate in the world it is generally due to ignorance and mis-information. GFWL in itself is not bad - but it is poorly optimized for PC's, suffers from issues in games for some people, and suffers from lack of attention.

not sure if LAN play is enabled without a steam connection. Thats the first place to start. Are you using steam?ColdfireTrilogy
Dark Crusade was not linked to Steam - DOW II was [and the expansions/followups]. Dark Crusade uses GameSpy for internet games - not sure about LAN [never played it on LAN].

You have to go to Anvil. The Prophet will be there near the chapel. If you purchased the expansion legit then it should work fine.

Usually if it is a site attached to a big name or is well known/respected then you can be pretty sure the downloads are safe. Sometimes a rogue will slip through their safety nets but it doesn't happen too often - and if you are running a halfway decent security suite it won't affect you much at all. If you are leery then use google to search for any reports of issues w/ the site/file. Paranoia is a good way to stay safe with downloading off the net - but you can usually put the paranoia to the side for the larger ones [I am quite paranoid when it comes to internet safety - haven't had an infection in many many years [and that was way back in high school ('95 or so) on a data floppy I used for a drafting class - the school network had been infected]].

when you're hooked in with hdmi, try double-checking via the system config utility and making sure the resolution isn't higher than whatever your desktop/monitor is running at when you're using hdmi.Makari
^^^ This. HDTV's tend to be a bit picky about resolution and graphics drivers scaling options do not correctly work for the most part [they do not work at all for resolutions above the max/native resolution of the TV - that has been my experience at least].

[QUOTE="SkyWard20"] Streamlining means making things more effective, not just simpler. In some cases, it could be seen as actually making a smarter system.

That is why I put references to "streamlining" in quotes. The developers often call it a "streamlined" experience whereas I just find it a removal of items to make things less complex [not always for the better in my opinion - which, I know, is not shared by everyone and I respect their opinions]. Examples would include Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 for more recent games - devs said in both cases the games had been "streamlined", I found [to my personal taste] they had been chopped up a little too much and removed some of the joy I got from their predecessors. [I am not bashing on anyone who enjoys ME 2 or DA 2 - I am glad they have games they can have fun with, they just really weren't my cup of tea - DA 2 more so than ME 2 (I at least completed ME 2, DA 2 I just couldn't force myself to finish [personal taste])]

I am sorry i am to excited over the sound of "diffirent pc interface" to be bothered with that.dakan45
Other developers have claimed the same thing for multi-platform releases... only to have a console interface on PC with a few caveats to the KB/M combo [eg: scroll wheels, key mapping]. I never believe these claims until I see them.
