1. Yes, I think so. Its not a demanding game, despite looking beautiful. Might want to check out the official specs though, just in case.
2. Absolutely. EVE is not twitch based at all, the whole game can be played with mouse alone (outside of socializing, that is). You dont even need to fight in the game, you can just cruise around, mine, etc.
3. Incredibly deep...one of the richest MMOs in existence.
EVE is an awesome game, especially if youre looking for one a bit more methodical and slower paced. It was a little too slow for me, but the fact a small develper can create something so fantastic is really neat.
Highly recommend it.
Though some folks, like myself, have issues with needing to be online on game startup no matter what - otherwise the DLC becomes de-authorized and unusable :/. As to the OP: GFWL adds un-needed overhead to games (and a further requirement for users to deal with for patching). The matchmaking is optimized for consoles, not for PC's and thus it doesn't ever seem to quite work (imo). It probably doesn't help that MS basically treats the GFWL codebase like a red-headed/half-mutant stepchild.I went into Services (as well as Boot Programs) and disabled all of the Windows Live programs. I don't use it, and I don't have any games that depend on it.
Windows Live just eats up RAM if you aren't using it.:P
BioWare did it right with DA:O - you only need to go online to update your achievements as you wish, or to install a new DLC - you aren't forced to do it.

Can't you use it OFFLINE, for quicker login?[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="Twisted14"]I just find it annoying to have to go through its rather slow login so I can play each time I open a game. mkaliaz
Offline doesn't work for some (maybe all?) titles. I know that for Gears of War, my save information was all saved online. I think Fallout 3 might be like this to. The load game buttons are not able to be pressed until it finishes loging into GFWL.
I might be wrong, but this is what I remember.
Actually what GFWL does is shove save games & DLC into a sub folder (sometimes hard to find) that can only be accessed by the game when GFWL is logged in. On some games it is easy to bypass this by moving games to a game recognized location (eg %DOCUMENTS%\My Games\Fallout 3\Saves instead of %DOCUMENTS\My Games\Fallout 3\Saves\[GFWL User ID]) and then either playing offline or disabling GFWL [For fallout 3 you can just search fallout3nexus.com for a disabler and do it that way]. The reason save games seem to "disappear" on people w/ GFWL games is because they have either gone offline in GFWL or gone online after being offline - this kicks in the redirection of the games save feature. My main beef with GFWL is that A) it isn't really needed and adds another layer of annoyance to some games (DoW 2), and B) It has a history of not performing well during update processes. As a side note: Microsoft didn't try charging for MP with its first iteration of GFWL - it just locked many MP features behind the Gold level pay wall. If you were a GFWL Silver member [free] then you had access to only basic MP match search options [I think it was auto search only, no custom search], no ranked matches, etc.
