@Godly_Kongming @pmnowak79 I have to agree that the best graphics this gen have come from the PS3. The Uncharted series, and Killzone 2 in particular had some really powerful graphics. The Xbox 360 hasn't had the same to be honest, though you can't deny Forza 4 looks good, and Halo 4 looks incredible considering how old the tech is now
I just hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those games that lie behind the times because of the wait, and turn out pretty crap. Hopefully not, but it could be the case it could skip a generation, but do remember, even if the PS4 does release this year (I'm hoping it will), the PS3 will run along side it for quite a while. At least a few years.
@JDWolfie @Kevin-V @cf_Kage I doubt it'll be built into the system, as people have different spaces for consoles. Different ways of storing it, etc. It would be impractical. An extra device is certainly warranted. But, it'll need to have a wider lens to see wider, and closer
@Kevin-V @cf_Kage It will be a major part of the experience, but I don't think it'll be impossible to use a controller, and I doubt an always on connection will be needed. Even Steam can be forced to run offline. Not everyone has a stable connection 24/7. I think it may be needed to possibly register games, but I doubt it'll be needed to play single player. It may be requried again to take the most use of the console, i.e social abilities, but I don't think it'll be NEEDED. It'll just be a recommended suggestion
@JDWolfie @cf_Kage A new controller is inevitable, like with every new console release. I also think the "Always connected to net" business is a bit OTT. I don't think that'll be the case with every experience
If it ships with the console, what is the problem here? I doubt it'll be needed for every experience though, but I do see the hands free sensing abilities to be a very important part of next gen. i.e you'll be able to move your arms to go around menu's, etc
The PS4 will be very powerful if it features the specs rumoured. The AMD graphics chips alone inside the CPU's (APU) can power games in 1080p with max settings, and Bulldoser is more advanced. Stack that with the dedicated GPU and we can expect wonders. If it has the 8850 (8890) in it, we can expect a lot of power
@DarkSaber2k @Psycold It'll only need to output 2 2D views, which the brain will then process into a 3D image as each eye is being given a seperate image at slightly different angles. With the specs that people have been talking about, the next gen hardware won't be all that capable either, with graphically demanding games
