There is something wrong then because I bought BFBC 2, I just checked and found nearly 4,000 servers. Have you been to the server browser and clicked on search in the bottom right hand corner ? When you initially go to the browser there are no servers until you tell it to search for servers.

Oh joy another RDR thread, I have actually changed my view on RDR now. I really really really want Rockstar to bring RDR to the PC ..... I don't want to play it I just want them to release the game on the PC to stop seeing these threads about people wanting RDR on the PC.

Is it possible we can also stop the Mass Effect vs RDR as well ?, that is a truly stupid comparison if ever there was one. GeneralShowzer I appreciate you do not like Mass Effect 2 and that is your opinion, I personally love Mass Effect 2 despite it's faults. I will say this though ME 2 has one thing over RDR and that is "it is actually ON the PC" at least Bioware make their games available on the PC rather than neglecting the most popular platform on the planet like Rockstar are doing.

You guys wonder why all the games are going to consoles, this is one reason right here. Pc gamers want everything cheaper or free. You are slowly killing your own system.Advid-Gamer

PC gamers pay the same price for their games as console users, the only difference is that console users have to pay an extra $10 tax on their games to their console manufacturer (it's called the console royalty fee). Now publishers want us to pay an extra $10 even though console games will stay at the $60 mark ? This is also ignoring the fact that they actually make more money per copy on the PC version than they do on the console version. In short we actually contribute MORE towards the cost of game development per copy bought than console users do but that doesn't seem to be enough and they want to make us pay the same price as console gamers despite the fact there is no royalty fee on the PC.

The fact some on here cannot see a problem with us paying the same price for games as console users really does make me shake my head. Is it any wonder this industry treats the consumer with such disrespect, the consumer deserves it.

And this is exactly why PC games are going up 10 dollars..I mean stop kidding yourself for every 10 games sold I would wager they lose 1 to torrents. Just because pc games are to 60 you want consoles games to be 70 pfft give me a break..sounds like a 12 year old kid that got a smaller piece of cake then his brother..

BloodJunkie213

Nice insult, you obviously didn't bother to read why I believe console games should be $70 if PC games are $60. So for the 200th time because no one seems to "get it", when you buy a game for the console at least $10 goes straight to Sony or Microsoft in the form of a console royalty fee. The PC HAS NO royalty fee so why should we be expected to pay the same price as a console user when there are fewer costs involved with the PC version ? Oh that's right no one bothers to come up with a compelling argument against that they just fling insults around like "sounds like a 12 year old kid".

Now couple that with the fact publishers actually make more money per copy sold on the PC than they do on the console, in some cases nearly twice as much. So for every 1 copy sold on the PC they need to sell at least 2 copies on the console to match the revenue. This $60 price bull is just that bull, only a few big publishers are doing it because they think they can get away with it.

Well technically speaking she should be there after you do the bug, I just suggested doing another mission in the hope that when you revisit the Citadel she spawns like she is supposed too. At the end of the day it can't hurt to try it. The only other suggestion I can think of is for you to load an earlier save game and try the mission again.

I have done a fair few playthroughs of Mass Effect and yeah it is as buggy as hell (especially Noveria) but I haven't come across this particularly bug before. Anyway good luck and let us know how things work out.

If I remember it right then I think she is in the "Casino" area (sorry can't really remember the name of the place) I think it called Flux or something.DarkblueNinja

Nah you are thinking of the first time you meet Emily Wong. The second time you meet her she asks you to do that bug thing in the control tower and you are meant to meet her in the Citadel Tower at the steps to the Council Chamber if I remember correctly.

It isn't a bug I have run into, have you flown away from the Citadel and done another mission then come back and see if Emily is there then ? That is the best thing I can advise you to do.

All I see from that link is Rockstar making excuses for their shoddy work on the PC :-

It is difficult to translate the game for the PC, he openly admitted.Even with GTA 4 Rockstar would have had big problems with a clean implementation: the sheer number of components of the game (game world, AI, physics etc.), thus the complexity of a game, combined with a variety of PC configurations of players around the world mountains tons of errors.Jeronimo

Doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence in Rockstar's work with regard to the PC. As for LA Noire I doubt we will see a PC release of it, Rockstar is very much a console centric company these days and they show an increasing reluctance to do anything but lip service to the PC.

I used to be a huge Rockstar fan, specifically with their GTA series. But after the truly appalling porting of GTA 4, I honestly can say I couldn't give a crap if Rockstar never touch the PC again. The PC really does not need a company like Rockstar that have no interest in producing top quality products on the PC and merely use the PC to make a few quick bucks.

I think it is safe to categorise Rockstar as a console only developer now and who could blame them ? You have both Sony and Microsoft throwing money at Rockstar like it is going out of fashion. That is the primary reason why Rockstar is not interested in the PC, If there was an organisation on the PC willing to chuck millions into Rockstars pockets then you would see Rockstar treating the PC properly.

If you really want to play Rockstar's games then seriously do yourself a favour and buy a console to play them on because that is where Rockstars focus is and always will be no matter what happens in the PC marketplace.

As for the RDR "proof" the first picture with the PC logo is actually referring to the TV features (ie you can connect a PC to the TV), if you look you can see the PC logo is on a "Aquos" banner and that is a make of TV. The magazine scan is just a result of the magazine "guessing" that it would come to the PC.

Now I am wondering....does the PC version actually take LONGER and cost MORE to program than the console versions....?FelipeInside

There is no way on this earth developing is more expensive on the PC than it is on the console. The console platform has so many "hidden" costs for developers it isn't even funny. Firstly there is the extremely high price of console developer kits, then there are the costs of extra man power to get your game to actually work on the outdated tech, then there are the certificaion costs that all games have to go through. Finally the biggest cost difference is the console royalty fee which is around $7 - $10 per copy.

Now couple that with the fact publishers actually make more money from the sale of a PC copy (DD has lower costs for distribution and sale). I believe one developer said retail usually gives them about 40% of the sale price, but DD gives them 70% of the sale price revenue wise. There is no need for specialised developer kits, no certification costs and there is no royalty fee on the PC. There is absolutely no way that the PC costs more to develop for than the console.

Publishers are charging console level prices for PC games because they can not because they need to.
