I can say this, the majority of the Retake Mass Effect didn't condone of the FTC, even we thought that was taking it too far and, which it ended up doing, would bring more negative PR then positive. Also this was one person out of thousands.Treflis

Well to be quite honest it is none of the "Retake Mass Effect" movements business. The person is exercising their consumer rights there is no such thing as taking it too far when you exercise your rights as a consumer.

As much as I hate the endings of ME 3 I hate the "Retake Mass Effect" movement even more, the whole thing is a damn embarrassment.

You may as well call out on every movie that has a bad ending and tell them to change it. If the ending is bad, then tough luck, that's what fan fiction is for.

mhofever

People do regularly criticise movies and movies are often changed to better fit their target audience. I remember Star Trek Generations was changed because audiences did not like a certain scene involving Captain Kirk. I am sure there are plenty of other examples of movies having sections altered because audiences did not like them (I am not that big a movie fan so I can't really cite many examples).

Glad you liked the video Silicel1, my favourite was what happened to James Vega it makes a lot of sense :P
I for one hope that the indoctrination theory is correct. If so, Bioware just trolled a sh*tload of people and had a fantastic ending. If not...blame EA.

Cwagmire21

I'm never for obvious plot indicators like "I guiz, iM a bad guiz noa!1!" But was there any indication that Shepherd was being indoctrinated during the game? Did it really go over the majority of players' heads? Just seems like a stretch and a cop out to pull the indoctrination theory out if there were no indicators of that in the base game (no DLC).

As far as I am aware the
Indoctrination aspect was actually going to be a HUGE part of the ending of ME 3. Unfortunately there were technical problems that meant Bioware couldn't do it so the whole indoctrination stuff was heavily watered down and pretty much ditched at the last minute. However there are still "clues" pointing to the old indoctrination ending and people are picking up on them and claiming that is Bioware's grand masterplan

I've never heard of either of them nor seen them suggested

jubeio

Well there has to be a first time for everything, both MCpatcher and Optifine are will known within the minecraft community. They are two programs that make a lot of MC users hold off updating their version of minecraft till the programs have been updated. If you want to find out more and the download links then you can find the info here :-

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-123-optifine-hd-b-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-more/

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/232701-11-123update-35-mcpatcher-hd-fix-234-01/

Like I said I prefer MCpatcher myself because it is relatively easy to use and gets the job done, but Optifine has better features and might stand a better chance of fixing your problem. Either way give both of them a try (but not both together) and just make sure you back up your minecraft folder before you go messing with these programs.

2. Some people that didn't like the ending are taking things way too far. I can understand now liking the ending, but to file a complaint with the FCC and such? Just stupid as hell.Legendaryscmt

Whilst it is something I would never personally do, I don't think it is right to criticise people for exercising their consumer rights. Firstly it wasn't the FCC people reported Bioware too it was the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). They did not report Bioware simply because they "didn't like the ending". They reported Bioware for making false claims and statements in promoting Mass Effect 3.

In short they are asking the FTC to do it's job and investigate whether Bioware misled customers with regard to selling their product. That is something that should NEVER be criticised if a consumer feels they have been "missold" something then it is acceptable practice to report it to the FTC and have them investigate it.

Besides who needs a stuffy corporate Epilogue to Mass Effect 3 ? The fan made version is 10,000 mass effects better than anything Bioware could come up with :-

Have you tried using something like MCpatcher or Optifine ? both have facilities to improve minecrafts management of resources. I personally prefer MCpatcher but Optifine is a bit more feature rich.

I think people need to be careful about the way they read Ray's statement. At no point does he say they will change the endings. What he says is carefully worded :-

Muzyka said executive producer Casey Hudson and the rest of the team are "hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity to those seeking further closure to their journey. You'll hear more about this in April.Ray

I don't get any impression from his statement that the endings will change. Rather you are likely to see the ending padded out a lil bit and possibly an epilogue tacked onto the end to try and diffuse as many complainers as possible.

People are angry because they can't have everything, also stupid if they think a petition will do anything, most want to save Anderson, destroy the Reapers for good without affecting the Geth, yourself (synthetic parts) and EDI/technology in general and Shepard emerging from the Citadel "like a boss", a hero.DanielDust

Whilst I won't deny SOME want that, the majority complaining about the ending have very valid complaints. Firstly the ending does not make sense I mean come on an Artificial Intelligence wipes out advanced organic life every 50,000 years to prevent them from creating an Artificial Intelligence that will wipe out Organic life  . Not to mention the whole space casper ghost kid rubbish. Then there is the fact the choices you make in all 3 games are completely ignored and you are left with just 3 choices that get presented to you by the Reaper controller and Shepard takes it all at face value. Then there is the issue of the crew members mysteriously teleporting back to the ship when they are meant to be lying dead on the ground. Then there is the what the hell scene with the Normandy fleeing the battle only to be caught in the resulting explosion.

This is just stating some of the points that people have with the crappy ending. There is a reason why over 90% are unhappy with the endings and no it isn't as clear cut as people wanting a "rainbow, sunshine and unicorn" ending. The problem with the ending is that it is a mess, does not make sense, does not take into account choices people made in the last three games and offers no closure whatsoever to Shepards story that is why the majority are complaining.

If you are really interested in why the majority are complaining about the endings then you could do worse than read this :-

http://www.gamefront.com/mass-effect-3-ending-hatred-5-reasons-the-fans-are-right/

It covers all the complaints people have about the ending. Just don't dismiss this as "people wanting a happy ending" that isn't the issue here.

Tell me how did you miss the sticky for this kind of thing ?

http://uk.gamespot.com/forums/topic/27037325/post-your-steam-xfire-origin-andor-onlive-ids-here.-updated

It quite clearly says "post your steam xfire ORIGIN or onlive IDs here".
