@deviltaz35: Art department flubbed. The design aesthetic is all over the place. And I'm not talking about X versus Y -- I mean the design "language" for the Universe is all over the damned place.
@prodigest: Maybe they'll do a Harry Potter/Twilight and do "Star Wars: Episode IX Part 1, Part 2, Part 3" lol. They certainly left too much open to satisfactorily close off the trilogy well in 2-2.5 hours.
@Louis: also, for clarification, Snoke and Kylo are dark force users, but they are not "Sith". Rey would just barely meet the canonical requirements for "Jedi".
@eva02langley: Ewan McGreggor? Eww. Liam Neeson and Ian McDiarmid brought their chops, were unfortunately handed the worst lines in the history of film. Though after watching every episode this past week, I will say that Episode VIII did the impossible and made the prequels look not-as-bad-as-they-did-before-Ep-VIII. Portman and Hayden turned in two of the worst acting attempts in Film. Prequels had some nice plot points but the execution was so flawed. Episode VIII has polish, but it throws out the established "rules" of the Star Wars Universe. It's really jarring to go from Episodes IV-VI (hell, even VII) to VIII. All of a sudden, you can be exposed to open space without harm, you can force "face-time", you can teleport across the galaxy, etc. Oh and Imperial capital ships can keep up with Rebel capital ships, and hit them with cannons, but only just so that it pings the shield. And don't forget "gas tanks".
Parts of the film were enjoyable, but totally disappointing as a followup to VII, which was decent.
@roycruz: Very, Very unlikely. The GPU architectures are drastically different and I don't think the Switch GPU has enough extra power to wrap everything in Nivida-ese.
Whats missing here is critical thought skills. If you're letting slogans and account tags in Pokemon Go sway your views-- you're an idiot and shouldn't be able to vote, anyway.
