@Vodoo @clynch0527 But stats have shown that a connection that ill actually be efficient enough to utilize the cloud, are not high as well as not being offered everywhere. Australia, from what I have heard has a horrible internet service nearly everywhere. In order to efficiently use the cloud processing, you will have to have an extremely good upload speed for your xbox to talk to the servers, and a 2-5mb/s upload is decent. anything above that, you're good, but that just isn't offered everywhere unless you're spending nearly $100/mo on your internet, which i gaurantee you a lot of people are not doing.
@Vodoo @clynch0527 @deon99 yes, if you see an M beside it, its mobile and is usually equivalent to a series below what it says. Your 670m, is probably around the same power as a 570GTX for desktops. and Yes, the i7 is the highest, even though its only a quad core, it does have 4 virtual cores. Intel is actually currently working on a 10 core CPU at the moment. But in terms of power, you;ve got a good laptop. Though laptops are never really good for gaming like a desktop is, primarily due to heating issues.
@Vodoo yes, and we see how well Onlive is doing. Its VERY popular. Not. The cloud processing is great and all, but useless without an internet connection, or a good connection. That in return is going to effect a lot of users.
@dandeeswish @clynch0527 it will support 4k, but a 4k video, is like 4x that of a bluray video in terms of size. (think dvd vs bluray= 9gb vs 50gb.) However, sony and panasonic have plans to release a 300gb bluray disc by 2015.
@deon99 put it this way. you measure Ghz like this: 3.10ghz. that would be 3100 MHZ. So if i were to add 53mhz to that, you would see 3.153 MHz, or simply,, 3.15MHz...its not a big difference as to say if they added 500MHz, then you would get 3.50GHz. So in simple terms, no, its really not alot. If i recall, this puts it's clock speed slightly higher than the ps4, but in terms of pipelines, TFLOPs, and and Shader cores, the PS4 destroys the X1 GPU. The X1 GPU is similair to an entry level gaming gpu, where as the PS4 is a mid-range. To compare that to PCs. You have the GTX 690 and Titan, and the Radeon 7990, which are considered the highest level GPUs. but your 7870, and GTX 660s, 670s, and 700 series GPUs, are pretty much mid range, and anything below that, is now considered entry level. Crazy how quickly a gpu can become an entry level gpu.
@greenpolyp impossible to have the rings of death. there are no rings of light on the X1, haha. just like how they said the Xbox 360 slim was physically incapable of getting the RRoD as there were no red LEDs in it and no ring as well.
@dandeeswish @clynch0527 i actually like the speaker design, its unique to see the speakers exposed like that on a tv. you know once it becomes more popular, we will see more variations. and yes, 6k is quite a bit. a friend of mine works at a company who specializes in touch screens. i believe he told me they have a 4k tv there that ran them around $15k.
@frozenux @lonesamurai1 i think if microsoft was smart, they wouldn't release the exclusives on pc. But I do hope they release some. I don't want to spend $500 just to play Fable IV, haha.
@lonesamurai1 so microsoft didn't copy sony with motion technology? nobody copied sony by offering the first dual analog controller on consoles? Sony and Dreamcast were the first to offer a true online multiplayer on consoles, what did the xbox do after that? But yea, just Sony copies everybody. Like Matt said, everybody copies. get over it. PC copies from MAC, and MAC from PC, guess you better give up your PC as well. Shit, bill gates copied the idea of a GUI OS from MAC.
