I'm thinking of buying Max Payne 1 and 2 for 15 dollars..

My questions are whether its worth playing still and if the price is a good one.

[QUOTE="stangen"]On Blizzard's site, under the hiring section you can see they are hiring alot of positions for next gen MMO development. In the area where it shows the project, it says top secret. Johnny_Rock

Welcome to last Summer. They've been posting for programmers for a next gen MMO since 2007.

haha ;)

...

Its already known that Blizzards working on next gen MMO. Just like its already known the MMO wont be in SC, WC or Diablo universes.

Begemott

Its actually not known t hat it won't be in a previous Blizz universe but that would be my assumption so there would be no lore restrictions or anything of that sort..

if you can play company of heroes well you should be able to play DoW2 well, im fairly sure they are both on the same engine, if not a tweaked version

as for Total war, not sure, you are just going to have to wait and see... its early days so there is no point in speculating

Ok thanks

I've been paying most of my attention to starcraft 2 just because I'm more firmiliar with the series but I am starting to get a little more interested in Dawn of War 2 and the new Total War game..

Does anyone know an estimate as to how good your computer will have to be to run these games?

http://ema.mtv.co.uk/vote/#__best_act_ever

As you can see, based on the link this is no "rick roll"...It is merely a vote for the best act ever. You should vote for Rick and you can vote as many times as you want too.

If you've ever been rick rolled he deserves your vote..

That happened to me, only I was the friend who was lost to others. Not World of WarCraft, though. EverQuest. A much better game!

Essentially, I got into a high end raiding guild. I worked part time (the absolute minimum I had to to survive), slept as soon as I got home and raided all night with my American friends. I'm English so my night time was their peak gaming time, so I adjusted my sleeping pattern so I could raid.

I would wake up around 9pm and play through until about 7am, then get ready for work. Work, come home, sleep, wake up, EQ. Every day. I played around six thousand hours over two and a half years.

I systematically cut myself off from all my friends - both those in real life and my non-EQ playing internet friends, wihich has permanently ended many friendships. Not only did I lose my friends, I lost myself. The game consumed every aspect of my personality, leaving me little more than a husk of a person with an encyclopaedic knowledgeof EverQuest.

Whenever someone tried sparking a conversation with me, perhaps at work or at one of the rare family gatherings I attended, I literally wouldn't be able to react with anything other than topics related to EverQuest, which most people would have no understanding of or tolerance for. Due to my inactivity, I was also around 300lbs by the time I finally quit.

I am hesitant to use the word addicted; I don't believe computer game addiction is possible. I was, however, totally obsessed with the game. And it's an obsession that I truly believe I would have let kill me - or irreperably damage my health - had I kept on playing.

I am thankful to be able to report that I am healthy now, both mentally and physically, have been able to reconnect with many of my friendsand have developed some vague mimicry of an actual personality that almost apes something approaching normalcy.

I know (that is, I can imagine) it sucks to lose friends to an MMORPG, but from first hand experience I can say that any lost friends would regret the loss of friendship a lot more than you when they finally realise what they've let happen.

fatshodan

From an outsider looking in, that sounds like one of the most amazing lifestyles I've ever heard of and sets a new definition for "hardcore raider"...congrats man :)
