[QUOTE="skullkrusher13"]I'm seeing a lot of Cannibal Corpse fans in this thread. I reccommend you guys check out The Faceless. zh666

LOL wow... Cannibal Corpse... best local band here in FL & Morbid Angel.

What about Death, Atheist, or Cynic? All way more influential than CC...who really has no influence, to be honest. They're also all from Florida...

can you name a single band that atleast sounds a bit like Cynic or Atheist? While Death IS one of the most influencial bands ever, but its mostly just their 80's stuff thats important... Cannibal Corpse however, was of course a later band, but they did usher in so many bands, became THE most popular Death Metal act ever, and have been imitated by a ton of (crappy) bands, more so than Death, Cynic or Atheist combined within a shorter time

Well, a lot of the tech death bands wouldn't necessarily be here if it weren't for Atheist and Cynic.  As in, they were the biggest bands at the start of tech death.  Cannibal Corpse wasn't the first to do what they did, although they did have a much bigger fanbase than almost any death metal act in recent history.  In fact, besides seeing Suffocation have a quick bit on the History Channel, Cannibal Corpse is the only death metal band I've ever seen in public media (Ace Ventura).  That was my point, really.  Punk wouldn't be here without The Stooges, but everyone says it was The Ramones, catch my drift?

Nice. I see the new engine is nice on it. (The former one was not doing it justice)Tulak_Hord
They're still using UE3...

And to the guy worried about seeing UE3 games, the Euphoria game engine seems to be attracting a lot of attention.

Because this is the only one that is going to be played by 12 million people or so, all possibly at the same time.  Other online games are less likely to have as huge of an audience and thus don't require as many testers.  And single player games rarely require more than 20 testers at any given time.  It's like MMO's, really, they need their netcode to work if they're planning on having a huge amount of players.  As well as some new features that will probably have to be tweaked according to user (like video capture, do we do HD or not, do any tv's have an issue with this, etc.)

It looks decent.  The camera looks a little wonky to me, I'm sure they'll fix it by release.  And I noticed they used a song that was played in Tony Hawk 4.  I'm still on the edge until I see more.

A friend of mine is actually testing this at Firaxis, I'm assuming Firaxis is handling the console version.  As in, he got hired specifically to test the 360 version of Bioshock.

*raises hand*  I've just always been able to see the difference, don't really know why.

Actually went to the show to see Necrophagist. But yeah. The Faceless is great, saw them with Arsis recently.

From last June to this June, Arsis will have played 7 shows total in my area.

Hmm...Heart of the Comet (dual authors), The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein, House of the Scorpion by Nancy Cooper, well...let's just say I'm not sure which one is my favorite.
