@Gamernametaken There's a difference between an optional feature and a mandatory one. The PS4 camera is an addon, not something required to spy on you 24/7
@spindie Judging by the specs they should be able to handle 1080p at 60fps, but it depends on how many effects, antialiasing, lighting etc they layer on. I always aim for minimum 60fps on my PC and adjust accordingly. Console game makers seem to set the minimum at 30fps so they can toss on as much eye candy as possible. Hopefully that changes for this gen to 60fps.
@shinysquirtle @cryofax @Thuban_23 I hear ya. Got plenty of consoles myself back to the Gamecube, though I emulate everything before that on my PC). I'm not anti-console at all, just gotta defend the PC.
@Thuban_23 @cryofax I don't know what PCs you build, but I work in the IT field and I can tell you I can already build a PC that will smoke the consoles just announced. They are already behind. It's always been that way. My PC was better than the XBox 360 on launch day, and it will be better than the Xbox/PS4 on their launch day.
@shinysquirtle @cryofax @gamingfrendly I don't want to be forced to check in. Are my games I bought useless if their servers ever go down? Do I want kinect gathering information but "not sharing it" based on the word of microsoft? I may not want or need a kinect at all. I'd like to be able to sell or lend my used games as I see fit. I don't want games that use a cloud server to supplement the game experience. What if those go down? Games again useless?
Bottom line is there is NO REASON for those policies. They don't benefit you or me in any way. They are there to harvest user information and maintain control of when and where (and even IF) we can play the products we purchased. No thanks, I prefer to retain that control.
@Thuban_23 Spoken like someone who doesn't game on a PC lol. I guess that's why every non-exclusive console release also comes out for PC, is better, and PC has a TON more exclusives, for less money, that play better. Dead indeed.
@shinysquirtle @cryofax @gamingfrendly That's fine, but it's a HUGE deal for many many people. Thus the uproar. I hope MS sees this and alters their policies.
