I really enjoyed Resident Evil 5, RE 4 is one of the best games ever, and I think REORC looks pretty awesome. Slant Six and Capcom have done a fantastic job with it. The verdict is still out on RE 6 since we know so very little about it, but I am sure it is going to be great. I don't understand how people can fault them for trying to make the gameplay experience better and providing updated and more modern controls. I don't think that intend on making these games anything remotely like Call of Duty. They just want to make a fun accessible game that will appeal to the masses. People always complain about how Capcom just repackages the same game over and over, so when they deliver by bringing us something fresh and new, people complain that it is not the same as an old game that's 15 years old. RE 1 was a great game, but they had the static environments, and stiff controls because they were limited in what they could do at the time. I would like them to get back to the item and crank based puzzles and for RE 6 to have a lot more depth than just running around and killing zombies. Bring back cranks, hidden keys, puzzles, locked doors, scares and everything else that made the first few games so special.
I think they should do away with renting and used games completely. This is taking money away from the companies that make the games we love and making companies like GameFly and GameStop rich. I used to buy used games until I realized just how much game developers and companies were being cheated. Now I only buy new games or wait until the game drops in price to purchase it. If they were do to away with used games completely, we might actually see a trend in bigger revenues for the developers and publishers, which could lead to bigger budgets for new games, an increase in quality of games being developed and/or lower costing games. The only thing I can say is if you don't agree with what the people making our games are doing, you have the right as a consumer not to buy them and play them.
