@Zevvion @Darkangel2154 As you say... "so far". I've been an exclusive Xbox owner for a decade now but I have to admit that overall there are more mature exclusive games on the Sony side.
You also have to admit Xbox doesn't have an exclusive developer the quality of Naughty Dog.
@jts1891 @damo320 I'd disagree there. The 24hr online check is a DRM based authentication of your Hard Drive installed games. Trying to force more people online might be part of it but certainly not the primary reason. I understand what you meant though.
We've yet to get official word on just how much additional data will be whored by the "cloud assisted" graphics which some games may begin employing on the Xbox One.
Most upsetting thing about Xbox is after 10 years as an Xbox Live member they haven't spent crap all making dedicated game servers to better support their top online MP games. Instead using the unreliable peer 2 peer model.
Now that they are getting servers it's just for graphics assist - not dedicated servers for multiplayer gaming.
@IXbox86 Can you stop saying "it's coming"!! It's already here - it (DRM) actually has been for years now. I think you mean to say "highly restrictive draconian style" DRM as per MS Xbox One.
It isn't a certainty. If the Xbox One gets poor sales on the back of its current model I doubt MS will just try to hang in there. They will back track and have to put out a much less authoritarian DRM model.
@jts1891 @IXbox86 Not really the same though. iTunes lets you have 5 separate devices authenticated. Once you authenticate a device no further authentication is required. Unless of course you wish to de-authenticate one for some reason (selling or new laptop / computer / tablet etc). There is no 24hr DRM authentication check which prevents you playing your games, videos or music.
MS is the ONLY company employing such draconian DRM policies. Make a stand now or pave the way for this to become common place practice in future.
@IXbox86 What are you talking about? DRM is already on games for consoles. If you mean highly restrictive DRM which renders a game unplayable in the event of missing a 24hr authentication that isn't definitely coming to all devices.
When a company tries to impose such a hamstrung model on consumers we are well within our rights to reject it. If you are one of those people who just bends over and takes it from big business that is fine by me... but don't try to drag the rest of us down with you.
@johnyogi I only own Xbox consoles. But even so I'm not about to let MS take a dump on me. There are simply too many reasons not to buy the XB1 in my opinion. I'm taking a stand. I am not a brand loyal person. I make my decisions based on what I'm being offered.
