@Gameboy7062 No they won't. The DLC map packs aren't usually released until 3mths - 12mths after the initial release of the game... sometimes longer than 12mths.

To the people crapping themselves about the maps. Halo 4 ships with 9 or so multiplayer maps already on it. The limited edition purchase simply allows you to also access the future 3 DLC map packs without having to make further transactions at those times. So it's like pre-paying for the DLC - the way many of you prepay for your pre-ordered games already. Too many people in here jumping to false conclusions. Chillax!

I would say looking at what is included that this will be the first time I'm actually getting the Limited Edition as every previous Halo games limited edition was just loaded with crap like artwork or maybe a flaming helmet unlock. This is actually substantial content for a change.

@brylynt Each Halo game usually ships with 9 multiplayer maps included. The limited edition gives you access to the following 9 DLC maps which will be released in 3 map packs after release. There is no money grab - actually for once the limited edition actually equals good value for money... instead of paying extra and getting nothing but artwork or a flaming helmet lol.

Some nerds have no idea just what morons they are. Attacking a member of the company whose games they play. And for what? Expressing a personal view in relation to game narratives.

You can buy region free new release titles at $55 from overseas. Why on Earth would you buy local anymore? If our retailers insist on ripping us off just buy online - send them the message. There are no legitimate excuses for the high prices especially now that our $ is worth the same as the US$. I refuse to buy over priced locally sold games. If I see a retailer selling a game at AUD$55 or less I'd buy for sure. The main reason the prices will never come down is because there are too many people in Australia paying the $110 price tag some retailers are charging. The only way to send a message and get the changes is to boycott games being sold over a certain unjustifiable price tag. I'd say any game being sold for more than $60AUD is a rip off. The transport costs excuse is total BS as they are a multitude of products sold in retail department stores which are transported in identical fashion which aren't a rip off price when compared to the international pricing.

@ bennae66 If you want the NBR to continue and the filter blocked you vote Labor for Lower House and Greens in the Senate. Pretty simple really. As for the telcos - we are where we are currently (the worst broadband of any developed nation) thanks to privatising Telstra. You can thank the Libs for that. During the Howard govt they attempted to negotiate a deal with Telstra to upgrade the national broadband network and it flopped. The Libs wanted Telstra to do ALL the work with the Govt chipping in half the money. So they expected Telstra to spend a crap load of their own money and resources creating an improved network but also stipulated that the resultant network must not be "monopolised" by Telstra. So Telstra being a shareholder owned company now told em to F-off! If you seriously think any other telco is going to go up against Telstra on the national broadband infrastructure side of things you're being a bit naive. Telstra have been making the process a living hell for any other operator - denying access to exchanges for lengthy periods. Want a world class broadband with 100mbps starting speeds? Go NBR. Tony Abbott announced his plan today - speeds starting from 12mbps. Which might I add is no different from Howard's failed election broadband plan speed promise. Way to go at screwing the country if he Libs in.

@ toadman682000 Actually you have it back the front. The likelihood of another Govt spending the money required to upgrade a National broadband network is 0. The likelihood that any private company would do the same with the ACCC forcing any national network to be open to competitors is 0. So if you think faster speeds "will just happen" you're wrong. As I see it the internet filter will not even become a reality and if it did the public backlash would see it overturned in a very short period. Our broadband infrastructure on the other hand is probably the worst in the developed world. This network infrastructure "upgrade" should have happened about 10years ago. People who vote against the NBR will doom this country to a very dim future as the worlds website become larger and more taxing upon bandwidth and our crappy services simply won't allow us to receive the content anyway. So what I'm saying is the filter is something which will either not happen or can be dealt with in the short term. The NBR will take a full 8yrs+ to implement. Pulling the plug now would be a tech disaster for Australia.

Vote Labour or Greens for gamers. Labour supports the National Broadband Rollout and the Greens support R18+ classifications. Liberals have no difference on the R18+ stance to Labour but they WILL terminate the National Broadband Rollout which would leave every gamer playing on the crappy speeds we currently get instead of world class Broadband speeds.
