Hi! *waves*

Wow, it's been a while. How is everyone doing? I hope all of your summers are going good. So far mine has just been the typical school reading (which I'm trying to finish before Harry Potter comes out, though I doubt it'll happen) and a variety of other things. I'm just SO happy that it's summer now, and that I can relax.

Heh, it feels sort of weird to type this, since I haven't been active on this site in what seems like ages. I've been kinda busy with some things, and my interest in anime isn't exactly helping. Especially One Piece... I would ask how people can keep track of a series with over 300 episodes, but so far One Piece is keeping me interested. Although I'm only on episode 20, so I guess I can't really get into that. D:

Anyway, who else is glad that Nick is finally airing some new Danny Phantom episodes? I stumbled across the commercial by accident a few days ago when I was watching TV with my cousin. She was alternating between MythBusters and Drake and Josh, and I caught the commercial during the credits on Nick. When I saw it I was surprised, because I had stopped following Danny Phantom news a while after Phantom Planet aired in the UK. The last time I heard about anything DP related was when the show started showing on Nicktoons Network, so this was nice. I actually managed to catch most of Infinite Realms yesterday because the rest of my family was in other rooms in the house for a lot of the time and they couldn't see the TV. I was definitely happy about that, since I haven't seen the US premiere of a DP episode Kindred Spirits. :D I think that might have been one of the last times I saw DP on TV before yesterday, too, so watching Infinite Realms on the regular Nickelodeon channel was pretty cool.

...Well, I guess I don't have much else to talk about. I have some summer plans that are taking up some of my time, but if I ever get bored and I have access to the internet I'll stop by to read some blogs or visit the DP forum. TV.com used to be my favorite site, and while I may not like DP so much anymore, I'd love to chat on the forums when I find some more time.

Take a guess. (some slight spoilers)

Yeah, I'm blogging about Phantom Planet. I tried not to have high expectations so I wouldn't be disappointed,  and I guess that worked because I really liked the episode. It was pretty sweet finale. Valerie didn't have much closure and Tucker somehow managed to become mayor of Amity Park, but considering the fact that Butch and his team had to fit a decent finale into a double-episode, it went really well. Kudos, Butch! Even though DP didn't have a long run, it was still a good one. I'm glad the series ended on a good note. (Now I just need to see Torrent of Terror, Claw of the Wild, Boxed Up Fury, and Living Large. :P I never got around to seeing those, and the finale was too tempting so I skipped them.)

Unlike a lot of people, though, I'm not depressed. Sure, I'm sad that we won't be getting anymore new episodes, but the ones we had were good. What if it was like Spongebob, where it's still going but the quality dropped? If you look at the other side of the situation, DP has a different kind of luck. It didn't have a long run, but it had a good run. It was great while it lasted, and the series will live on in reruns, fanfiction, fanart, and the fans who love it. It's out of production, not cancelled. Nick has made several bad decisions with stopping the production of past shows and we've all moved on. I know it's saddening, but there is always some optimism when things look rough. We survived before DP began, right? We'll find new things to do, and we can still go on the forum to chat about DP. I know I'm not leaving this site. I have friends here.

...Anywho, that's the end of my rambling on DP's finale. And speaking of finales, I finally finished watching Fruits Basket. If you like romantic comedies or tearjerkers (or bishonen :P), it's a good anime.  Next up is Wolf's Rain, since I still can't find more episodes of FMA. *sigh* Or maybe I'll take a break from anime and catch up on Avatar. I've been meaning to watch that, but I haven't been kept up with it for a while and I've gotten real behind. Of course, that can only mean one thing: weekend marathon. ^^

Another quiz, just becase I can. And I'm bored.

I know, two blogs in one day, and they're both quizzes. So sue me; I like taking these kinds of quizzes. :P I was gonna squish this on my other blog since I only thought to do this after I posted the last one, but then that blog would be huge. So here it is, and feel free to look at the other quiz if you want. It was fun to take (and so was this one). You're a 90's kid if: (aka "So You Think You Have Nostalgia?") You remember watching Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Pinky and the Brain, and Two Stupid Dogs. All of them except Two Stupid Dogs, but I remember the rest. Doug and Pinky and the Brain were my favorites of those shows. You've ever ended a sentence with the word "SIKE!" Not really. You just cant resist finishing this... "Iiiiiiin west philladelphia born and raised..." Nothing comes to mind. You remember TGIF on ABC. Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World. I didn't watch Step by Step or Family Matters, but I remember Boy Meets World and Dinosaurs. Not the mama! You remember when, 2Pac and Selena died. Nope. You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons. Totally. I would get up to watch ABC's One Saturday Morning. Kids WB and Fox Kids had some good cartoons, too. You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school. Sort of, but not really. You remember reading "Goosebumps. I remember those! ^^ Especially the ones where you could pick what happened next. You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school. Yeah. You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books. They ring a bell, but I wasn't into those. You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence. Eh, not really. You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record "Your FAVORITE song of ALL time." Not so much. (I must have had a deprived childhood for all of the answers I have "no" as.) Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? Yep, I remember playing that computer game. Captain Planet. He's a Hero. I don't think I ever watched that, although I've heard the theme song. You remember when super nintendo's and Sega Genisis became popular. Heck yes. I remember playing Sonic on the Sega Genisis, but I never owned one because I had a Super Nintendo. I still have that Nintendo, actually. Donkey Kong is the best game I have for it. You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos... but never taped anything funny. Haha, sort of. I didn't have a tape recorder, though. You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , and 3........and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders." Yep. You remember watching The Magic School Bus, Wishbone, and Reading Rainbow on PBS. The Magic School Bus was pretty awesome. It had a catchy theme song. You remember those Where's Waldo books. Yeah. You remember when Mortal Kombat Was "Da Bomb"! I can't say I do. You remember eating Warheads.(those sour candys.) I wasn't into those. You remember watching the 1st Batman, Aladdin, Ninja Turtles, and 3 Ninjas movies. Not the 3 Ninja movies, but the rest I do. Although my neighbor was more of a Batman and Ninja Turtles fan than I was. You remember Ring Pops. Yep. You remember when POGS were the coolest thing ever. Sort of, yeah. I don't think I got too into it, though. You remember drinking Fruitopia and Surge. They ring a bell, but I never drank those. If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB". Yeah. XD When they made the new lunchables so that you could make tacos and pizza!! Yeah. You remember "boom boxes" vs. cd players. Yep. Writing M.A.S.H. notes. (and the twenty different versions of that.) I totally remember those! Mansion, apartment, shack/street, or house. You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell". I remember watching that, yeah. You haven't always had a computer...and you lived without the internet. Hard to believe, right? XD You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles. I wasn't a big fan of Ninja Turtles (it had a catchy theme song, though), but I watched the original Rugrats and Power Rangers. You had a favorite New Kid on the block, and you knew all of their names. Nope. Michael Jordan was a king. I didn't watch much sports on TV, but I remember him from Space Jam. Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff! I don't remember getting into those. All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.) Yeah. You remember when the new Beanie Babies and talking Elmo were always sold out. Heh, yeah. I still have my Beanie Babies in my closet somewhere. Carebears and The Gummy Bear show. Sadly, yes... Gak was the coolest thing invented. I don't remember that. Lambchop's song never ended. Nope, it never did. You know, some people started singing it not knowing what it was, and they continued singing it but only just because it was the song that never ends... The old dollar bills. I don't remember anything significant here. Silver dollars, were cool to have. Not really. You collected all the Troll dolls. I wasn't big on those. You owned a portable tape player. Indeed I did. You even know what an original walkman is. Yep. You remember when Nickelodeon was worth watching....every day after school. Yes! Hey Arnold, Angry Beavers, Wild Thornberries, Figure It Out, the original All That, Clarissa Explains It All, and other shows that I won't take the time to type. You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Yep. I remember one or two episode in particular. You know the Macarena by heart. The dance? Yep. "Talk to the hand" Haha, yeah. 'Cause the face aint listening. You know the significance of the number 23. Nope. You went to McD's to play in the playplace. Yeah, I remember doing that. When we were younger: Before the MySpace frenzy... Before the Internet & text messaging... Before Sidekicks & iPods... Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX... Before Sponge Bob... When light up sneakers were cool. When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs. When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing. When we recorded stuff on VCRs. When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans. When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever. Way back... Before we realized all this would eventually disappear Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!! Post this in your blog if you remember these days....

Music Quiz

Well, Kate had it in her blog, and I wanted to try it out. Feel free to try it yourself if you're bored or just plain feel like it. :) The Rules Are As Follows 1. You shall put your music player on shuffle. 2. You shall press forward for each question. 3. You shall use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn't make sense. NO CHEATING! 4. You shall give your own comments on how it relates to the questions. [[How are you feeling today?]] Twice In Every Show - Monty Python's Spamalot (I can sorta see that working.) [[Will you get far in life?]] Let Me Go - 3 Doors Down (Somehow I don't think this bodes well for me.) [[How do your friends see you?]] Gimme All Your Lovin' - ZZ Top ( Well, at least they like me... but not in that way.) [[What is your best friend's theme song?]] Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet? - Relient K (Nope, can't say that works.) [[What is the story of your life?]] I Want It All - Queen (That's not too bad.) [[What was high school like?]] Yasahii Gogo - Minawo (It's one of the ending songs for DNAngel, but I can't say if it works or not since I don't understand Japanese.) [[How can you get ahead in life?]] One Song Glory - Rent (I hope some of that stuff doesn't happen to me...) [[What is the best thing about your friends?]] Ready for Love - Cascada (o_O No, this is definitely wrong.) [[What is in store for this weekend?]] If You Were Gay - Avenue Q (Oh jeez... XD Definitely wrong.) [[To describe your grandparents?]] Crush - Darren Hayes (WTF? My shuffle hates me!) [[How is your life going?]] Crash And Burn - Savage Garden (You know, sometimes this actually does fit.) [[What song will they play at your funeral?]] Guilty Beauty Love - Mamoru Miyano (XD lol, I hope not.) [[What do your friends really think of you?]] Kusha Las Payas - Las Ketchup (I actually forget the English lyrics to this song. ^^;; ) [[Do people secretly lust after you?]] Shining Star - Earth Wind & Fire (I wish.) [[How can I make myself happy?]] Morning Grace - Ritsuko Okazaki (I need to look up the lyrics to my foreign music...) [[What should you do with your life?]] Just The Two Of Us - Dr. Evil version (I should get an evil little clone?) [[Will you ever have children?]] Life's Gonna Suck - Dennis Leary (I guess not. XD)

Happy Easter!

I'll be offline all day for Easter, so I'm just wishing you all a happy day before I get off. ^^ Hope you guys have a great day, filled with chocolate and all sorts of good things.

Spring Break!

Yes, it's that wonderful time again. Spring Break! :D I really wish I didn't have a 5-page paper to write, but other than that I have nothing to do. *sigh* Why did my English teacher have to put the due date right after Spring Break? -__- (It wouldn't be so bad if my last day of the break wasn't Monday.)

But anywho, I'll just have to start that soon so I'm not worrying to the point of going crazy on Monday. I really want to get that out of the way so I can see some anime that I've been meaning to watch. ^^ Until I find more episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist, I'm watching Fruits Basket, which I started the other day. Of course, I've only been able to find the first 6 episodes so far, so hopefully there are other places that have it.

Some things you ought to know.

Well, I figured I might as well get this off my chest. I really don't like Danny Phantom. It's like, the worst show I've ever seen in like, ever. I'd rather watch MTV any day, where I can watch stuff like "My Super Sweet 16" and "Date My Mom" and "Pimp My Ride". Or even better, the shopping channel! Squee! I don't even know if a shopping channel exists, but it like, totally should, because that'd be, like... totally cool! Like, totally! *hair flip*

Oh. My. Gosh. Happy April Fools Day! ^^ I'm sure it was completely obvious, but I wanted to do at least something, so I did this as a spur-of-the-moment thing. Hope you guys had a good day with fun pranks. (This was actually the closest thing I did to a joke today. How sad is that? XD I wish it was on a school day, so I could see other people's pranks. I guess I'll have to wait 'till next year.)

Whoo, another game. ^^

I didn't want to keep doing movie quotes, but I wanted to do another game. So this is the same as the last blog, only with TV quotes. Just guess what show it's from. This time the prize is a pie. (Hint: check my favorites if you don't know one) 1. "But I need tacos! I need them or I will explode. It happens to me sometimes." 2. "Yes. I guess this makes me queen!" 3. "And they wonder why I love technology." 4. "I am so smart! I am so smart! S-M-R-T, I mean S-M-A-R-T!" 5. "It's here." "The tea?" "The baby!" 6. "Look at me! I'm cheese!" 7. "First of all, I am not mad! I am angry! I am an angry scientist! That is what it is saying on my card of businesses!" 8. "You can't destroy my one chance at happiness just because of some stupid rivalry!" "Well, as a parent, it's my right to destroy your happiness!" 9. "Even though I gave my first kiss to a girl by a weird series of events, the night had a good feel to it." 10. "I knew it. You humans are... amusing!" 11. "Did you hear that, Foxy the Fox Network fox?" 12. "Well, at least here you'll be treated with dignity. Now strip naked and get on the probulator." 13. "I don't care if he is part dog! I'm gonna stand by my man! Or... man's best friend! Whatever!" 14. "If someone actually dies, would that make me a murderer? But that's impossible. There's no way that could happen." 15. "He's just upset because a bunch of girls kicked his butt yesterday." "They snuck up on me!" "Right. And then they kicked your butt." 16. "Any questions?" "Well, for starters, why do your drawings suck so bad?"

Movie Quotes Game

Kate (redpoet2) and Gwen (PhantomFan) both have this in their blogs, and I thought it would be fun to try. I just pick 20 quotes from some movies, and you have to guess the movie that each quote is from. I may use some movies more than once. And there's cupcakes for prizes. :D 1. "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood! Nobody!" 2. "What's the matter Colonel Sanders? Chicken?" 3. "It's just a flesh wound." 4. "Everything in this room is eatable, even I'm eatable! But that is called cannibalism, my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies." 5. "I have a very great friend in Rome called Biggus Dickus." 6. "What? Are you here to tell me what a bad eugoogoolizer I am?" 7. "A wedding? I love weddings. Drinks all around!" 8. "And this is not my real nose, it's a false one!" 9. "Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid." 10. "Soup's on!" "I thought this was shish kabob." 11. "Hey I got an idea! I could stay with you! We could stay up late, swap manly stories, and in the morning, I'm making waffles!" 12. "Do us a favor... I know it's difficult for you... but please, stay here, and try not to do anything... stupid." 13. "Well it's true! You're semi-evil. You're quasi-evil. You're the margarine of evil. You're the Diet Coke of evil. Just one calorie, not evil enough." 14. "Read it? I devoured it! I for one, for instance, never realized that the Third Reich meant Germany." 15. "So by physcosomatic, you mean like, he can start a fire with his thoughts." 16. "No. I expect to leave you standing on some beach with absolutely no name at all, watching me sail away on my ship and then I'll shout the name back to you." 17. "Mole. Bloody mole. We aren't supposed to talk about the bloody mole, but there's a bloody mole winking me in the face." 18. "I mean maybe we should be doing something more meaningful with our lives. Like helping people." "Uh, Derek, what people?" "I don't know, people who need help." 19. "Every time I try to talk to someone it's "sorry this" and "forgive me that" and "I'm not worthy"..." 20. "We take Pete's car, we drive over to mum's, we go in, take care of Phillip - "I'm so sorry Phillip". - then we grab mum, we go over to Liz's place, hole up, have a cup of tea and wait for this whole thing to blow over."

Back on LiveVideo

After making a few too many blogs on the whole video issue and whatnot, I'm making a final blog on that by saying that I got a new account. I'm not making videos again, but I want to be able to comment on other people's stuff. My username is MidnightPhantom, so if you get a friend request or a comment from that person, it's me. If you have an account there, feel free to add me or drop a message. ^^ Anywho, I really want to end my blog with something other than videos. So... guess what my school's theme for our spirit week is? Nickelodeon! :D I almost didn't believe it when they announced it. It's in a week or so, but I'm totally pumped. We're even getting out of class for some game shows, like Figure It Out and Legends of the Hidden Temple. (I wonder how that's going to work, anyway.) Then there's one day where we can dress up as a Nick character, and if I can find a pink hat I might go as Timmy Turner. XD I'm short on ideas, so it was either that or draw a blue arrow on my head and go as Aang. And Timmy is less noticeable. I doubt anyone will know I'm dressing up as anybody. Of course, I could always draw a red oval on a white shirt and go as Danny... oh, I don't know who I'm gonna be. I can't really think of another Nick character who's easy to pull off... eh, I can settle for Timmy. I always wanted fairy godparents. XD
