Pixel Junk 4AM is a weird looking game, and certainly can't be explained easily. The only way I can describe it is like painting music on an invisible canvas. Pixel Junk 4AM will blow your mind, even if you don't know it just yet

Why doesn't the eShop already support paid for DLC anyway? The 3DS does, as I get new stuff for DOA all the time.

[QUOTE="hydralisk86"][QUOTE="Jolt_counter119"]

Nintendo claimed it was a problem with "Vast costs" because we all know Star Fox 64 3d must have cost them a fortune to develop with all that extra content thay included.

Jolt_counter119

Yeah well, I never played the game, but I think it's a big chance I would choose wifi over extra content, if I had to make a choice.

I was being sarcastic they didn't add any extra content they updated the graphics and that's it. No extra content, no wifi, $40. I'll wait for a price drop personally.

It's not that simple. They hired a small, good team at Q-Games to remake the game. They did a great job. Why invest any money in a new entry when gamers turned down Command, Assault and Adventure?

Coz they are two separate games made for separate consoles. Like Nintendo said, it would've cost more to make an actual dedicated multiplayer online component that wasn't just a copy and paste of the local multiplayer which already wasn't much to write home about. They just weren't prepared to invest in it, being as gamers haven't invested in Star Fox in years

[QUOTE="Thunderdrone"] So we're just ignoring one of the best RPGs now, right? Carry on LORD_BLACKGULT

What game am I ignoring? Just because I decided to not list every current IP they are presently using does not mean I am ignoring a thing...

Is it wrong of me to want a fresh, innovative IP out of Nintendo on top of some already established IP's?

I think he is referring to Xenoblade, which is a critically acclaimed RPG out in Japan and Europe for the Wii by Nintendo, and is a new IP Also, to be fair Nintendo tries lots of new things, they just put their characters in exciting new games. RPG themed on paper? Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby Mass Attack come to mind right away as games that technically have an old name, but are entirely new games that play much differently than other entries in their series.

They come out with two GOTYs in 3 years, make a motion controller that spurs their competitors to try to come up with something similar, they add 3D with no glasses to their handheld, come up with a unique touch screen interface that blends with a traditional controller as well as all your wiimotes, and consistenly puts out A/AA/AAA games across 3 platforms every year. And people ask if they should be more innovative? People never get enough, they want things to be the same while being entirely different at the same time. They want complete reboots that are true to their origins but unique like nothing before it too. This is why Star Fox is a dying franchise

I wish Uncharted would be on Xbox Live because I play with my friends online on my 360 much more than I do on my PS3 but Uncharted is one of my favorite online games (also Starhawk is looking great too) I'd like some of the good people at insomniac or sucker punch to resurrect Banjo Kazooie.

How many of these PixelJunk games are they gonna make?

KevinPlanet
They can make as many as they want as far as I'm concerned, they are usually end up pretty good. Q-Games is really amazing. They're games really stand up to the independent games from the art s(tyle) series on Nintendo systems. Eden, Monsters were some of my favorite games in recent years, and Q-Games did make the recent remake of Star Fox 64 3D as well as Star Fox Command a few years ago. These guys know how to implement new exciting features into old concepts (Like the turn based strategy in Star Fox Command)

Solely based on the fact that Starhawk has a black main character is all sorts of win. Not so hot about the footage shown, was a bit meh but from the first few moments of the campaign I wasn't expecting to be blown out of the water. Besides, it's going to live or die based on its MP anyway.

Basinboy
Indeed, sadly they weren't showing off the multiplayer at the event.

We got to play Pixel Junk 4AM, which was a surreal rhythm game unlike anything you've ever played. It's really hard to describe exactly what you do, or don't do in the game. Lead Designer Rowan Parker was on hand in Austin, TX for the Fantastic Fest Arcade to explain the game to us. Click the link to read our preview of the game and watch the lead designer walk us through the game. I can't say you'll take away a better understanding of how to play the game, but it is the kind of game you have to play to appreciate. Best use of the PS Move controller I've ever seen. Pixel Junk 4AM's first ever public demo
