Well I do love the artistic direction they are going with this game. I can't get enough of post apocalyptic themes! And setting it in russia could be just the twist thats needed for a game like this. One to watch for me.
I'm glad they choose to release small amounts of information prior to release. Theres often too much of a game given away before release these days and it ruins a lot of them.
God what a pain in the ass he is! So he says the game industry will die without innovation yet he constantly trys to create movie like games. Thats not innovation. Theres loads of narrative based games and movies and cgi movies and every other flavour of what he is creating that has allready been created.
Even if they did bring back all the key guys to the company, would they be allowed to create great games like they used to in the original Black isle? I don't think so since things have gone so corporate these days.
I smell yet another developer trying to sway public opinion to benefit their own ends. Of course they nearly all do it and its understandable to promote your own products.
Free to play is basically just enforced DLC. Whereas now, most of the game is on the disk and you can download more if you want. Free to play just gives you a glorified client program that gives access to downloading the majority of the game. Ergo, forced DLC.
I just hope people will have the sense to recognise good value for money when they do or don't see it and purchase accordingly because thats the only solution.
