It's everywhere. Everyone seems to think GTAIV was a disappointment, or just crap. My only gripe is that it becomes stale after the story is done, but during the story it's really immersive. It's very easy to forget your playing a video game and be Niko Bellic in a recreated version of NYC. There's a lot of freedom while keeping it's dignity as a realistic mobster game.

I think what a lot of people need to do is suspend their disbelief and stop looking at everything with a critical eye. Dont analyze everything you see or experience from the perspective of a gamer looking to get his money's worth, just listen to the story and play the game and you'll always find some good to take away from it. That way, you wont have to run to system wars and tell everyone how horrible you thought a game was.

I think Assassin's Creed suffered from the same thing. Everyone looked at it as repetitive, and eventually that's all you could think of while playing it. Look at it as Altair hunting down his 9 targets and slowly learning the truth of what was happening around him, paralleled with the events surrounding Desmond and the animus.

AC and GTAIV were great games, and as a game collector and gamer, I'm really glad to have them.

Uncharted is the best game that I've played on the PS3. This being said, I haven't played MGS4 yet. The best game I've ever played is MGS3. So my opinon of the best PS3 game might change soon.

[QUOTE="AHUGECAT"][QUOTE="CaseyWegner"]

[QUOTE="AHUGECAT"]The problem is that the Wii's AAAE's aren't really Xbox 360 level. It's like saying that a system with 10 AAAEs that are all sports games is equal to a system with 10 AAAEs that are like Halo 3, Forza, Gears of War 2, etc. etc.CaseyWegner

and here we go. what's wrong with the wii's games?

They only get higher scores because they are on the Wii. No More Heroes for example was supposed to be for the Xbox 360, but got put on the Wii, thus lowering the standards. For the Wii standards are different, an AAA game on the Wii is an AA on the 360/PS3. This is not true all the time, obviously. The Wii has many great games, but even if it surpasses the Xbox 360 in AAAE's the Xbox 360 still has the superior AAAE's.

and you know this how?

I can answer this one. Look at a wii AAAE: No More Heroes. Glitchy and textureless open-world with last gen graphics. Has some addicting gameplay and nice story. 9.0. Let's see a 360 AAE: Mass Effect. This game has huge production values, an epic journey that's dozens and dozens of hours long with so much voice acted dialogue, brilliant graphics, animations, and a deep combat system. 8.5.

The wii is obviously held to a different standard. If Mass Effect was done on the wii just as it's done on the 360, I guarentee it would have scored 9.5.

they all lack shiny, clean graphics with rich texture and HD resolution. they all lack tight controls (waggle is fail). a lot of them stick to 1 unique gameplay mechanic which makes for a lack of variety in the overall gameplay (ie, trauma center).

the library isn't terrible, it's all right. bu you just can't compare it to what the 360 offers, or what the PS3 offers.

Recently, both my desktop AND laptop crashed and so I gave it to someone i know to get them both reformatted. I got them back, he went to london on vacation, and I can't get both machines to get access to the internet. When I do the usual Pc to Router set up I've been using for the past year, ONLY my desktop gets connection, and my laptop doesn't.

I have an ethernet cable going from the modem to the router, then a different ethernet cable going from the router to the desktop PC. This way, the modem feeds the router and the PC. I'm sure it works because my PS3 is picking up the signals from the router and I can go online with my PS3, so why isn't the laptop working?

When I go on the laptop and go Control Panel>Network Settings, it says "Network Cable is unplugged." But everything is plugged in.

I gave the laptop direct connection by hooking up an ethernet cable directly from the modem to the laptop, and then it works, but then of course my desktop doesn't work.

So far I've tried restarting the computer, re-establishing the connection by disabling then enabling, by un hooking and re hooking power cables, and repairing connections, but nothing is working. I'm not tech savvy and I really don't know what to do.

ALSO, a lesser problem: I can't fix my monitor resolution ever since I got my desktop back. It's at 800 by 600 pixels so everything is really large and chunky. When I try to go to a smaller display by right clicking the desktop>properties>settings and clicking a different resolution, the screen goes black and it says "Not optimum mode: Reccommended 1024 by 1080" but when I click on the 1024 by 1080 resolution, the same black screen and message comes up before returning to the 800 by 600.

I'm so sad
