@YukoAsho: LOL, you do realize that games STILL need to be installed on the SSD to run so you are not really saving space, and most will require patches so you aren't going to save time either and with some not bandwidth either.

Discs no longer offer the advantages they once did.

@Atzenkiller: LOL, little history lesson for you bub - Microsoft was NOT the ones who introduced a paid online service. That was Sega with the Dreamcast. Initially they had the service for free (hoping to get enough kickbacks from Earthlink for the rebrand to SegaNet in terms of new subscriptions) but eventually did start charging for access to playing online (as well as introducing an monthly charge to PSO v2, whereas the original version had no fee).

@YukoAsho: Actually cost LESS than a used Duo and price is about equal to a PARTS Duo. Seems like a no brainer to get one of these if you are a fan - plays all your games at higher resolution, is newer, and cost less than a used vintage system that could fail at any time.

@hg10: LOL, no. This is not like the TurboGrafx 16 mini. This does not have games stored on a hard drive or chip, it plays them from the original cartridges and discs. It does not come with any games, you need to supply your own...and pirated ROMs won't do it.

@lonesamurai00: It is also a $200 new console where an original one USED will cost you more to buy - even part machine Duos are bringing at least $200. And since it isn't emulated then it plays the games as it should, but with increased resolution and performance. I plan on getting one of these since I had to sell my Duo many years ago - and sold it for over twice what one of these machines cost.

@Maize84: You're an idiot if you think that is why the Dreamcast failed. The people who did that was minimal and had little effect upon their bottom dollar. It was more the idiotic decisions by Sega of Japan and SONY's aggressiveness in keeping certain franchises from Sega.

@thegreatchomp: Revenue does not equal cash reserves. SONY is not exactly cash flush, regardless of the PS4's success. SONY can in no way afford such a purchase.

@esqueejy: LOL, cool story bro. Tell yourself whatever lies you need to boost your fragile little ego. I for one ain't buying it nor do I care.

And not a "fanboi" (ooooo, aren't you so edgy with the spelling..kind of gives away your age, intelligence and reinforces that the "wealth" you brag about is a lie), just one who sees the facts for what they are and able to see through the BS many companies spout, of which SONY is pretty guilty.
