I'll be really upset if this game doesn't reach its goal. You can tell that Molyneux himself is really into this one, and the videos also become sadder and sadder to see him with each passing day, the numbers not going as high as he'd like. He's been very somber recently. I wish they would have set their sights a little bit lower and tried to find more investors outside of Kickstarter because I want this to get made.

@Falru The guys who wrote the Bible want Tolkien off their lawn, and the guys who wrote Greek mythology want the Bible guys off their lawn, and the guys who did cave paintings want the Greek mythology guys off their lawn.

@deathstream Dude, I promise you EA executives give them tons of notes, just like all entertainment industry heads give notes to the creative staff, based on "trends" and "analytics" and the fact that consoles are more popular. And of course BioWare would defend their product because games don't stop selling after a year of being out. They have DLC sales, and "complete" edition sales to worry about.

And show me one interview where BioWare came out and said the fans were wrong about DA2 criticism. Literally one. They would not say that, and if someone did they would have gotten severely reprimanded. No public company would ever allow its employees to be so blunt in response to criticisms. I go to their forums and they never even hinted at saying the people who were critical were "wrong." In fact, all the interviews I've read are about how they want to bridge the DA:O to DA2 gap with DA3 and randomly make it like a Skyrim style open world. I hope it works out but I'd much prefer the path DA:O was going on except with updated story and graphics.

So basically some EA execs saw that Skyrim is selling well so now we need more games like Skyrim. Same EA execs responsible for the horrible things they did with the sequel to make it more appealing to an audience they garner zero interest from (CoD fans). Nothing wrong with the CoD guys but they DON'T WANT these games. Make games your core audience want, like me. It should feel awful for EA that me, a person who preordered both DA:O and DA2 will not be buying DA:3 regardless of reviews, which have proven to be nothing but untrustworthy with regards to Bioware games.

The problem is that people who pirate games are often either 14 year old boys who don't even understand that they're stealing, which is incredibly dumb, or the people stealing are poor, or they don't care. And this makes up a huge number of people that play video games on PC.

With the rate at which people pirate games, I'd bet 1/5 on the petition will steal it if released on PC. I can't blame Rockstar for not putting it up if the costs of dealing with cheaters in multiplayer and the losses from piracy are too great. And I'm a PC gamer btw, it saddens me that this is the case, but sometimes people ruin nice things.

@blazerv3 @Richmaester6907 Don't act like it isn't 10,000 times easier and more prevalent on PC.

You can tell based on the screenshot that someone yelled at them to "make it more like Skyrim." because people in charge at EA must think something about the northern mountain setting connected with gamers, instead of maybe considering that Skyrim was developed for years under an incredibly dedicated group of talented people.

They definitely need to add more ways to be stealth and also have more set pieces. My favorite levels were the ones, like the gentleman's club and the party, where the setting was one large contained, intricate area. This game should take its cues from Hitman: Blood Money, except allow for some free roaming areas in the city.

I was really disappointed by ME3 not because of the ending but because none of the choices changed any gameplay during the game, and the numbers you received for opposite choices were identical. Plot-lines didn't vary no matter what you did, which was something that was teased for all three games.

And I didn't like DA2 at all because the plot itself was broken. You could be pro-mage or pro-templar the entire game and the plot reacts to you the same way. Not only that but the setting was boring, the graphics are ugly, the gameplay was subpar and not conducive to party mechanics (i.e. tanks didn't gain aggro and healers did not heal as much as potion chugging did). Overall I was completely disappointed, and the part with Anders is the worst plot change I've ever seen in any game or film.

The odds that I'm gonna buy this game are slim. Even reviews won't convince me, considering how positive the reviews were for DA2 and ME3. The reviewers don't seem to play through the Bioware games to actually gauge what's going on in them.
