Kinda the opposite of SoT from my experience. For starters, it's in space. Has a reasonable amount of content but lacks (real) MP, where SoT has MP but lacks content.
No 3DS version... meh. Awesome games for Nintendo going forward should be for Switch only. I'm as big a Nintendo fan as there is, and the 3DS WAS awesome, but it has served it's purpose and Nintendo needs to kill it with fire. Hearing that awesome games are coming to 3DS instead of Switch is a headache I hope goes away very soon ie: Detective Pikachu and GCN Luigi's Mansion etc.
I wouldn't necessarily state that it is preposterous to suggest this as a game mechanic... however it's such a grind in this game to make gold. If we got properly compensated for the grind it wouldn't be so bad- but cosmetic crap in this game costs so much freakin' gold it's ridiculous.
@benderbrain: I'm with you. The "9/10" had me more than interested... until I read about them shoehorning in MT's. Now that I know that Ubi won't get my $80 CDN I don't care it's only cosmetic crap this BS in gaming has to stop.
The Blades of Chaos were what made me fall in love with God of War. Every trailer I've seen thus far has had me hoping that this wouldn't be the first GoW game to not have them, especially since this is a future version of Kratos and not a prequel to the first game before he got them.
I'm maybe fifteen hours in so far. What I can say is that if this game stayed in development for another year they might have done it a service, but currently all there is to do is: get treasure, bring treasure to outpost and exchange for money, repeat. Can be very fun with the right crew, but I can see why people are getting bored already. Save up enough gold and exchange for cosmetically different weapons/items that don't do anything that day one weapons/items don't. If you love what is good aboot it and have a great crew to sail with can be loads of fun. Combat isn't great though, and to earn enough gold to buy anything will take a loooooooong time. Quite a grind, for a game that doesn't have too much to grind for.
