@firedrakez: Sony isn't just a console manufacturer, they have one of the biggest electronics divisions in the world, exporting to every country in the world. they don't have to rely on PS5 sales to stay afloat - lol.
And so it begins - the onslaught of Cyberpunk articles is starting to ramp up. Does anyone remember the Destiny coverage? Holy Cow - that was just ridiculous. It was literally every single article on literally every single feature the game had, recycled, re-worded and then presented again as a new feature story. It was absolutely overkill. Expect the same for this game.
Anthem was a colossal cluster£uck of monumental proportions. Reviews were scathing and the fact that the top brass had absolutely no idea what was going on at Bioware doesn't give me any confidence that anything will be delivered here.
I imagine it will be one of those development phases that mirrors exactly what happened to the original 'game', that is, tons of time. money thrown at a team with no real accountability. who just bounce along 'prototyping' a bunch of ideas until someone actually asks what's going on.
I will be amazed if anything is seen within 2 years.
Everything is changing and everyone is gonna have to take a long, hard look how they conduct their business's in future. Pretty much everything will be blamed on the corona-virus epidemic and it will take some considerable time for things get back to normal, that's providing everything does go back to normal because I can easily see business models changing drastically after all of this blows over. That includes market strategy, production and who is actually going to end up spending money on either console?
Suddenly, it doesn't seem that important right now.
Just because the game is good, (apparently) doesn't mean it will translate over to TV flawlessly.
I'll take a quick look at this when I get a minute but I don't think this is an absolute must see from what I'm reading. Same with The Mandalorian. Totally over rated show because it isn't as great as everyone is making it out to be.
I applaud a 4/10 review because if it's shit, it's shit. Get over it.
Yeah, I played this when it first came out and I recall it being fairly decent but not absolutely amazing.
I'm thinking this hasn't aged very well, so the only time I'll be considering this again is if it had a considerable make-over in the same vein as something like Disco Elysium or a brand new development similar to the awesome The Last Night.

If Rotten Tomatoes is anything to go by, I wouldn't take these early critic reviews too seriously. They are almost always completely skewed.
It's only when the fans have seen it and the YouTube videos start dropping, that you will find out the full extent of the success or failure of this film.
I'm fully expecting an incoming shit-storm with this though, so brace yourself for impact.
