It's going to be hard for developers in the West to compete with China especially for upcoming live service games. They have massive teams that work 72 hours a week. Marvel Rivals released more content in a month then Overwatch did in a year. While are developers are bitching about crunch and harassment they just keep working.

For its time the PS2 was the best. Sony started building their first party and they had so many third party exclusives that if you were a gamer the system was a must have. Add to the fact it had full backwards compatibility with the PS1 and we really didn't know how good we had it.

The PS5 will get shit on but it is a great console. The problem is it's just kinda redundant and if you own a gaming PC you don't really need one. You may even pick an XSX if you like GP and have no interest in Japanese games. Sony's first party has fallen so bad that it's no longer a selling point for the platform.
