@SecretPolice: that doesn't really seem like a good idea to me. Mass Effect had become way too much of a cover-shooter design without much else going on. though i really enjoyed Mass Effect 1 & even 2 gameplay, i would hate to see them take away the old Bioware RPG gameplay mechanics.

if this ever comes out it would be awesome i imagine. but we've been waiting years for Crysis 1 remake that was showing developer videos using newer version of Crytek engine, Skywind, Blood Omnicide, and many others. these things take ridiculous amounts of time without publisher support and big-time production so often they never make it to completion.

@SnuffDaddyNZ: Same way with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lost Alpha & other full remakes, with Blood Omen reboot, with other titles that have been through this type of reformation. you are legally supposed to own the original title. falls under the same category as MODs.

@Mogan: i didn't see any Imperial remnant. the New Order didn't seem to be related to The Empire, just some group ripping off armor designs.

@Mogan: i'm guessing they mean how they took an already awesome 40 years of Star Wars timeline and turned it into a few kiddie movies.

most of the bad statements here about Doom 3 seem to be from people that did not play it until quite a bit later after release. there was not much at the time, if anything, on any console that did shading as well or that did enemies as well. even on PC it was better looking than most games available at the time. the fact that they accomplished this by compacting everything into very tight chambers instead of having distant detail worked well for the game.

@muppetbabymastr: and no one mentioned a party or an attempted overdose. we're talking about an average 2 weeks of my beer and other treats.

@Ultramarinus: most gamers these days want simple action. press a button over and over and hold forward until you win. anything that requires more intelligent game mechanics, thought, and planning has become more of a niche for more diehard fans.

@nibbin1191: take this argument\statement to the console gamers constantly stating bs about how they get all the exclusives and all the best games and how stupid it is to pay 1000s of dollars for a video game system. i see much more negative comments from the consolite base than from PC gamers.

both sides just talk nonsense, half the time untrue, because they're either jealous or insecure about something else. all platforms have awesome games and awesome attributes. anyone really into video games would much rather have every good game out there no matter the platform. the rest are just ignorant and/or trying to start something.
