Nothing wrong with giving people the option. I'd only get annoyed if they start charging for items that can't be obtained through regular gameplay.Doom_HellKnight
I agree but we know one thing always leads to another. 6 month DLC all the way down to day 1 DLC. $5 map pack to $15 map pack. This just seems like a path that will take the wrong turn one day.
And we thought Valve could do no wrong. Have they done wrong?
Im just worried this will turn into a DLC machine, but Valve claims it wont. You can now purchase in-game content in Team Fortress 2 with real money that you pre-load into your Steam Wallet.

Don't worry, the Mann Co. Store is not some new way for Valve to gouge players, and Valve doesn't plan to make players pay for future updates and other content. ****updates, maps, and other content will be distributed in the same way they always have (i.e. free). "Segregating players into groups that can't play together, based on who bought what, is something we'd like to avoid."
Only 23 people out of 182 people here would actually pay for the extra features of LIVE. Obviously LIVE isnt superior enough for people to really care. Its just a nice advantage when fighting in SW.
