Just thought of this right now and Im posting on impulse. What if games were priced based on their Metacritic score and this was enforced by law. And for the sake of making this debatable, lets say reviewers arent allowed to post BS 1/10 reviews or take bribes.
$60 is the maximum. Yeah I know this is a random and crazy idea but what if. One pro I can see is developers pushing to make better games fearing that their game might end up releasing at $20.
Because most of these multiplats that youre comparing are bigger in the US and Europe. Multiplats are slightly better on the 360 so buying multiplats for the 360 is a trend people stick with.
Japan nearly closes the PS3:360 sales gap but people over there dont buy the multiplats youre talking about so thats a big chunk of sales gone.
