Resistance 2 is just winning this poll so far because more cows have voted. I think Gears of War will take the cake, seeing as the graphics are not an issue for either game, but Gears has a better story and multiplayer and production value.

I think IGN's review tonight will give us an indicator of which will score higher here. R2 got 9.5 and I think Gears will score 9.6 or higher. Could be wrong though.

I agree the animations are better, ever so slightly, but it's not something that sells the exclusives for me. On this topic, I found the animations in Fallout 3 very, very disappointing. It's crap.

Yeah I think it will out-score Resistance 2.

9.7 FTW

Xbox 360 is my primary console. Apart from the obvious exclusives, simple fact is that the multi-plats I get are almost always better on the 360 which also occasionally gets exclusive DLC and has a better online service.

PS3 would be secondary, based on the fact that I use it solely for exclusives like MGS and LBP, and soon Resistance. I hardly watch Blu-ray either, so my PS3 collects dust mostly.

Meh, let's face it. Microsoft is more experienced with all this Xbox Live biz so they can churn out a simpler, yet effective update more efficiently in lesser time. They are introducing not revolutionary, but key updates like being able to install games on teh HD.

In all fairness, if Home turns out to be as good as its hyped to be (though things rarely ever are) then it may be worth the wait. Sony failed? Nah...dropped the ball for a bit maybe, but not PHAILED.

I do love my FPS's and I would have to say so far, Halo 3. I admit I have not played anything other than the beta for R2, but while at first glance the graphics may seem 'superior', I think its more down to the different art styles of the two games than anything. Either way, I love them both so it's not a factor for me.

In terms of gameplay, I would say Halo 3 because it feels a lot more gung-ho and I prefer the 360 controller. Story-wise also, I have been immersed in the Halo storyline over the entire trilogy and I'm not a huge fan of the Resistance story (not bad, but average)...so no fight there.

As for online, I still don't have enough faith in PSN to rate it over Xbox Live. I will only have 16 player matches max but then, more is not always better (especially with a team full of noobs) and it will be smoother for sure.

So Halo 3 I think, over R2 but it's not going to stop me from getting Resistance and enjoying every bit of it.

I think between the Halo series and Resistance series (thus far), I prefer Halo because of the whole package - the atmosphere, the gameplay style, the enemies and the multiplayer. Between R2 and Halo 3, I choose Halo even though its more of the same (as Halo 2), it is improved and it's more of a good thing. But R2 is a close second...it's just that the first Resistance didn't feel as satisfying as either R2 or Halo 1/2/3.

Also, MGS4 and GEoW being compared is akin to comparing apples and oranges IMO. Forcing us to choose between the two is not doing either game justice. MGS is stealth, much more like Splinter Cell, while GEoW is all gung-ho. Both are leaders in their own genre. In terms of production value though, I think MGS4 tops GEoW 1 but we should reserve judgement until GEoW 2 comes out...which is looking pretty impressive so far.

Frankly, when it boils down to graphics both Xbox and PS3 are equal. Really, you're not going to see the difference. And both upscale to 1080p unless natively supported. Depends on the game, developer etc.

I think the deciding factor for you will be how often you play online. If you play online often, and want a smooth experience then Xbox Live is better than PSN but keep in mind you have to pay $50 for one year of Live Gold. But if you're not willing to dish out the cash, PSN offers a credible service for free but is not as populous as Live.

I prefer the Xbox controller for my sports games but that is a matter of preference, so you should check out both controllers. Go with what you're comfortable with.

At the end of the day I would say go with the 360 because if you ever delve deeper than just the occasional shooter, the 360 has an excellent library already established and with more to come.

Why cant Xbox 360 owners come to terms that the PS3 has the same power is what you should be asking.

Well fact is, when it comes to load times the PS3 is supreme ruler of the universe.

Fact is, you're exaggerating and you know it. It's due to the hard-drive install anyway, which 360 will get with the NXE so there!

[QUOTE="johnnyblazed88"]

[QUOTE="spike6566"] I would say Fable 2. First fable was suppose to be the Messiah of WRPG but floped hard. When Fable 2 was announced, the lemmings where jumping for joy. THe return of the messiah to set GS straight. Then the messiah let down the lemmings with a flop. so yah fable 2 is my pick. BobHipJames

Fable 2 is the messiah of WRPG

Baloney. I looked at that game and I immediately knew it was a stinker.

Then I saw the gameplay video entitled "Choice and Consequences." It featured no choices and no consequences, just some of the pettiest and poorest PS2-era hack-and-slash I've seen in 5 years.

You sir, are a larger piece of baloney than you could possibly imply Fable 2 is. You are clearly biased against the 360 and your lack of ability to debate this thread fairly is glaring.

The fact that you decided that Fable 2 contained 'no choices and no consequences' whatsoever, based on merely watching a featurette, shows that you either are incredibly ignorant or you've made up your mind to bash this fine 360 exclusive no matter what reasoning may cross you.

Fable 2 may not be a brilliant game but it is by far a good game maybe even a great game. You looked at the game and immediately knew it a stinker. You sir, are a blind baloney.
