More Exercise Shopping Than Being at a Sports Carnival.

Its true. Today I could've wasted 6 hours at a sports track, doing absolutely nothing. But I said "pfft screw that. I'm gonna go out with friends." So I did. It was the usual three of us. One of the other friends tried to get out of going but got rorted by the teachers. Anyway, we went to the cinemas and saw Superhero Movie. It was meh. Had some laughs but not much. Most exciting thing was when these guys kept throwing stuff at us and it kept hitting my friend, so he took one of the bottles thrown and threw it, and it hit the wrong person. We didnt get in trouble so thats good. Before that we went to Playtime, which is like an arcade for those of you not familiar, where we spent some time. We came to this one game where you roll a ball into little slots (no not ski ball) and theres a wheel so wherever it falls it will move the wheel. Well luckily for us the top was loose, so when no one was around we would move it and put the balls where we needed. At the end of the day we had nearly 1000 tickets. Not bad a waste of 10 bucks. My friend bought a 6 pack of Jim Beam Spirit Glasses, which we plan on using sometime, and a Hello Kitty lanyard for his little sister. After that we went to Toys R Us to just kill time, where we beat on the other friend with foam baseball bats before running off before we got kicked out.

Well one of them left, so it was just me and the spirit glasses guy. Note that we got the glasses before we both left at the end of the day. So we went into Myer, where we got lost and just talked and such. We then crossed the road to JB Hi Fi, where I bought Peace Sells... But Who's Buying by Megadeth for $10, so I was happy with that. We went back and walked a bit more, and finally departed. All in all it was a good day and now all I need is an excuse for not going to school today since it was a compulsary event. Gonna try the old "ear aches" excuse, seeing as I do have a history of them.

Anyway, time for game related news. I havent been playing OoT much. So far I'm on Death Mountain and just talking to various Gorons, which are rock men for those not familar with The Legend of Zelda series. Also I've gotten news that I can buy Four Swords Adventures off of gcps2masters friend, so just 2 left to get.

Anyway thats all. See you space cowboys.

Zelda Marathon.

Thats right folks, I'm going to have a Legend of Zelda Marathon. I recently bought The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition (CE) off of a good friend who goes by the name of gcps2master on here. $60 is a good deal considering its 4 games and he payed $110. The 4 games are The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Two of these games I have never played before and had never owned. Those would be Majora's Mask and Zelda II. One of the games I bought the GBA Remake and beat it, which was the first Legend of Zelda. And the other game I had but had since lost, and thats Ocarina of Time. I never beat it though. So theres 3 games I had not beaten. I will give each one week. So 3 games in 3 weeks. Also this pushes my LoZ collector higher. Currently I own:

The Legend of Zelda (GBA Remake and CE)
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (CE)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES but lost so I got the GBA version)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64 but lost so now CE)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (CE)
The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening DX
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords (Came with ALTTP on GBA)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

All that there is left is:
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
The Legend of Zelda: 4 Swords Adventures

I will be buying Wind Waker sometime soon and 4 Swords Adventures off of gcps2masters friend for about $40. I just have to find Minish Cap. In case you haven't noticed, I'm a bit of a Zelda fanatic. Ever since I was young I was. Heres a picture of me at age 4 dressed as Link.
Me Dressed As Link At 4

And heres me wearing a Legend of Zelda T Shirt and holding my new games.

Anyway thats all. See you space hylians.

The Early Bird Just Got A Dose of Fail.

That early bird is me, and the worm that I just missed was nearly 2 months of Maths homework I had not done. Its 6:48 here in Australia, unusually early. The only time I am up this early is when I have homework/assignments to do at the last hour. I got Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd playing so its keeping me somewhat entertained. I had the intent to wake up at 5 am and start work. Nup. Didnt happen. Just kept pressing snooze till it got to 6:00. So I started work. I did 1 of the sections. Left it. Did homework I got yesterday which wasnt as much and realised I left my graphics calculator at school. So 2 out of 4 questions done. I'm currently concocting an excuse for why my workbook is missing. Im gonna go for a "book got destroyed when I dropped OJ onto it" angle here. Should work.

But I've taken this as a hint, a nudge, a realisation if you will. I need to pick up my game in maths and in a lot of stuff in general. A lot of the time I intentionally forget its existence and dont do anything. I've decided to pick up the slack and I will start doing my math work since it is the only one that really needs to be done. The rest; english, media, literature, philosophy, etc. Are all fine. Just maths. I've also got a test on this stuff today that I was meant to do last term but I was sick so I stayed home. I'm looking through theory notes and my text book to figure it out. Apparently more than half the class got less than 50% on this test, and I'm an 80% average so I should do okay. The time just rolled over to 7:00 now. The time I'm ment to wake up. Same thing happens though, I wake up and just keep pressing the snooze button till 7:30 or quarter too. Must pick that game up as well, but not for a while.

Well thats enough about school work and my personal faults. I think I might end this with a poem I wrote a long time ago. It was inspired by a certain Anime along with some personnal experiances of my own. For you anime fans who are reading this, and I dont think thats many, see if you can guess which one this was inspired buy. A cookie is waiting for your replies. Im pretty sure Twisted knows the answer, so dont say it . I entitle this Music Box.

A haunting tune fills the air
And I wake suddenly from my dream.
I look around
Searching for the source
Of the music that haunts me so.
But there is no music box
From which the music plays.
Yet, there is.
A tiny one cradled in my hand.
I look down and see
It is not my hand
But the hand of a woman's.
I gaze up at her.
Her, whom I hold dearly,
In my heart.
The wilting tune plays
As I stare into her eyes.
So warm and loving
But they pierce my heart
Like cold steel.
Cold, steel chains that wrap around my heart
And my thoughts.
I want to run away
But her gaze fixes me in place.
She draws me closer
And whispers in my ear.
"It's all just a dream"
She begins to fade away
Into the black that enveloped us.
I wish to run after her.
To hold her one last time.
But I can not move.
I am forever trapped in this wide awake nightmare.
As she distances further away
The shadows begin to crumble.
The world of darkness begins to tremble around me.
Light pierces through as I try to find her.
But she is gone,
Swallowed into the black abyss.
Or is she?
The tune wilts away
Like a flower that is dying.
Something is in my hand.
I look, but nothing is there.
I see her standing in a door way.
Behind her streaks of light
Stab through from around her.
She beckons me closer.
I can move.
She walks into the door
And closes it behind her.
I go after her,
And open the door.
And I awake.

Anyway thats all. See you space worms.

Gaming Setup and Other Stuff.

Well since this is a gaming website I figured that I might as well post some photos of my gaming setup. First will be a full shot.
My Whole Setup

Yes, that is a 12 inch television. Great for immersing me in games. Next a close up of the consoles on the left.
My SNES and N64

Two of the greatest consoles made. I still play them. Now the console and dvd player on the right.
My Wii and DVD Player.

You can see the USB Adaptor for WiFi next to it. Doesnt work though for the Wii. Must find out why. Now time for the carnage behind the television.
Gamecube Controllers and Wires.

In case your wondering, my Gamecube along with my Playstation are in the draws. We got rid of the NES a long time ago and I dont know what happened to my Sega Mega Drive. I had some great games on that. Now if you hadn't already noticed, the recurring theme is Nintendo. Since I first starting gaming all those years ago (I think 12 now) I had always had a Nintendo console or handheld. So keeping with the Nintendo theme, here are some books I have featuring Nintendo characters.
Nintendo Books.

I used to have The Shadow Prince but I'm not sure what happened to that either. So theres my set up and Nintendo paraphenalia. Hope you enjoyed looking at it.

Anyway thats all. See you space gamers.

2000 Now.

Thats how many posts now. Im rather proud of myself. It took about 10 months to get 1000, and just 2 months to get another 1000. Maybe its a sign to not spend as much time on it. Anyway, time to celebrate by listening to some Legend of Zelda orchestra pieces and whatever else I can come across.

Anyway thats all. See you space cowboys.

I'm Back.

Yay?

Well people seem to think that I should write more, so I will. A certain little fellow was happy to see us come back. This little fellow.
My Dog Tofu.

For those of you not yet informed, thats my dog Tofu. Australian Silky Terrier x Pomerainian. He likes sleeping a lot.

The Misconceptions of Heavy Metal Music.

At school we're having a "have a say" day like in the book Looking for Alibrandi which is one of our text studies. I've decided to do it on my blog title, The Misconceptions of Heavy Metal Music. Please read and tell me what you think.

Good Morning/afternoon, I'm freek666 (not my real name!) and I am here to discuss the misconceptions of Heavy Metal music. Since its inception in the 60's with bands such as Black Sabbath and its mainstream exposure in the 80's and 90's with bands such as Metallica and Megadeth, Heavy Metal and its sub-categories (Thrash, Death, Black, Doom, Stoner, etc) have often come under heavy fire from the media, overly concerned parents and individuals and sometimes the government. A lot of people seem to think that the music makes its listeners aggressive, violent, anti social, anti government, anti religion, the list goes on. Yes I do realise that the names of the genres I just said are fairly scary, but don't let them fool you.

One problem is that people misinterpret the lyrics and vocals. Most people probably think the vocals are all deep growls, and the lyrics deal with death, killing people and even racist, particularly Nazi, views. I'm not saying that their not. Some of them are. But by listening to this music, does this mean that I'm suddenly going to start killing people of a different race, drinking their blood and start chanting trying to summon "dark beings"? Of course not. Some people do decide that they should do that, but they do not represent the music genre. Most of the time they are just people who are off their nut. If it did then people who listen to rap music are obviously robbing servos, taking drugs and having kids they didn't know about. That wasn't a dig at rap music, but it's the common misconception among those who oppose rap music. I myself am not a fan of rap music, but I do not believe such things because I know that it is not true. I came here with the intention to fill you in on how it is shown in a different light to what it really is

The media has a lot to do with the way people are misinformed about Heavy Metal. Recently in Australia a teenager killed his father and assaulted his mother with a knife. While this is a tragedy, the news report I saw had in large font and in bold "He listened to heavy metal music and played drums and violent video games..." I'm not here to talk about the misconceptions of video game violence, but I could if I wanted to since I believe that video games cause violent behaviour is untrue. The person who wrote this article made it out to look as if the Heavy Metal music he listened to is what could've helped him go forward with his plans to kill his father and assault his mother. They even interviewed people from the same school and they mentioned about his love for Heavy Metal music. They didn't even touch on the subject that he was bullied for too long. Maybe he had some psychological problems not caused by the music, but by the way people treated him.

I myself had been listening to such music for nine years now. I play bass guitar. I even play violent video games. I'm perfectly fine. I am hardly ever angry, and when I do it's not because of the music I listen to. I get angry at things just like everyone else. I'm no more angry or aggressive than the next person, and there's a good chance that they don't listen to Metal music. I have come under fire for the music I love and had been listening to for practically all of my life, but I have never gone off the deep end and killed anyone, or even assaulted anyone. I feel that if they want to believe that, than they are free too, but they could at least give me a chance to educate them on the subject, like I am doing right now. If they still choose believe what they believe, than who am I to persist in changing someone?

I said before that I came here with the intention of trying to educate you on the genre of Heavy Metal music and its sub-genres. I'm not asking you to go out and start listening to it. Im not asking you to give listening to it a go. Just to respect it and those who listen to it like so many people do for the music you enjoy. Thanks for listening.

Anyone got any tips for me on how to improve it? Many thanks if you can.

Anyway thats all. See you space metalheads. \m/

Mulwala Blog 2 **UPDATED!**

Nothing much is happening. No fish caught today, but we tried out a new trolling run. It is much better due to the lack of wind and annoying wake boats. Probably the most interesting thing I saw today were the amount of dragons and a pair of ducks having sex. In the case of the duck it seemed more like rape since, what I presumed to be the female, looked rather angry and flapped her (?) wings a lot before ducking her head underwater repeatedly.

UPDATE
I went out tubing a few hours ago. So bloody fun. Only downside is I lost my board shorts :( Dont worry though, I was wearing my wetsuit beneath that and a tshirt thingy. Water was bloody cold, but it was bloody fun. Im currently looking to see if I can sue the state of NSW or Mulwala and get them to buy me a new pair of board shorts.

Anyway thats all. See you space cowboys.

When Your In Prison...

No this isnt about being in prison, mind you Oz is a very good show. Basically what I'm getting at here is that when your in prison your away and you have no knowledge of whats happening outside. Well as you may know I havent been around for the past 4 or so days, so I decided to check some profiles to see if I have missed anything. And I came across a little fad blog where you have to tell 5 things about yourself that people wouldnt know, then tag people to do the same. I was tagged by jjr10 4 days ago and I just found out, so I figured that I might as well do this. Some of you (Twisted14, gcps2master, maybe even rockya13) will already know these, but the rest of GS dont.

1. My dad originally wanted to name me Wally, but my mum said no, so my middle name became Walter.

2. I am half Spanish (mums side) and half Australian (dads side).

3. I've been listening to the bands Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and The Offspring, and just Metal and Punk music in general, 9 years ago when I was 6 and in 1st grade.

4. I'm an Agnostic Atheist, meaning I cannot be sure of the existence of God, but I choose to believe that he doesnt exist.

5. Schizophrenia in my family is a severe problem and if I was to take recreational drugs and/or drink heavily, I would develop severe schizophrenia. I've taken tests before to see if I was already developing it (dont worry I dont drink or take drugs) and according to these tests I might be developing some early signs of schizophrenia, but heres hoping those are wrong. I'm already guessing that I have OCD, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, judging by some of my habits, so lets not at schizophrenic to the list.

Well that was tough. Not easy to think of things. Anyway, now I have to tag people. I will tag Twisted14, gcps2master, rockya13, PerilousWolf and MGard.

Anyway thats all. See you space taggers.

Mulwala Blog 1.

Well I'm here in Mulwala. Nice place just over the New South Wales and Victoria border AKA The Murray River (I'm in NSW). I'm staying in an apartment my parents rented and I will be here until Saturday. No fish caught yet, but heres hoping we at least land one. I would have been on earlier but my Mum forgot the air card at home, even thought I told her twice to get it, so we needed my brother to mail it to us the same day and we picked it up today.

Anyway thats all. See you space cowboys.
