@sqlrob: might be since Sony announced that ubisoft + will eventually be a part of their new gamepass alternative that is coming out soon. MS and sony do seem to be trading blows and copying each other a lot.

@thecupidstunts: Id assume you are generalizing players as a whole and not making assumptions. Because you will see me complain plenty but I do not spend a dime on anything cosmetic or p2w items. And I am totally against the entire p2w/f2p idea. The casualization of online gaming in general. You can not keep up in some online game? Answer is not to add a store to cater to you the answer is for you to play something else more your speed and quit ruining my game.

@thecupidstunts: You not see how the crests work? Still paying for a random loot just like a loot box. And just like loot boxes that is promoting gambling to children.

P2W a way of life in online gaming now. If there is trading there is p2w whether the game supports it or not. But this is much worse. It has loot boxes with the crests. Has 1 time must buys like PoE just for QoL stuff like inventory space.

And on top of that it has the typical p2w buying of crafting materials and limited daily/weekly currencies. This game is screwing you every which way it can.

Not about needing, But D3 was sanctioned p2w at the start with the RMAH.

But from what I understand about Diablo Immortal is it is not p2w it is Buy to play. More like PoE where some of the store purchases are absolutely necessary. Except Immortal is a whole lot worse.

Big difference between p2w and the b2play. I mean P2W should not even be a thing any more any game players can trade is p2w now.

And I talked about d3. When you get rid of p2w totally like D3 you end up getting a game you did not want. D3 did not end up being horrible but it was not Diablo either,

Not sure why people complain about the p2w aspect. D2 is and has always been about as P2W as you can get. I would argue that D2 is a major factor in the birth of p2w games because they were the first big p2w market.

And we already see what happens when they get rid of p2w. We get d3. Which i can not really say is horrible but it is not diablo as we know it. How about we complain about real aspects around the game that are bad. Not fake ones.

@thecupidstunts: Closest games to Tactics I have found recently is the Mercenary series. But it is too much like tactics in that it looks like a super nintendo game lol.
