And nothing I said assumes your nationality. The laws I was talking about could apply to dozens of countries. And countries without those laws do not have people that believe the way you do. Because they have large amounts of their populations living without these comforts.

And you got your generations mixed up that hiding under the desk was the 60s and was only for a real short period of time. And on top of that in the 70s and 80s it was the Soviets not the Russians.
And stagnant wages? You know what minimum wage was in the 80s? 3.20. And inflation till recently was much lower then the wage gains.
And every job I know that requires a smartphone or the internet pay your bill or at least some of it. And even if they don't, those bills are deductible.

@j3diknightdave: Need to look up the definition of necessity. Nothing you said makes it a necessity. Just because it makes life harder does not make it a necessity. Your house your car your internet all things that are convenient not necessary.
@Atzenkiller: person that uses their brain knows where to find that same information without the internet. And how do you know which books to read? Well people with brains already read them. Internet just makes it more convenient.
I did not say it was like tv said it was like cable. TV was just a tv set and an antenna. They not talking giving these people the cheap internet they are talking broadband internet not dial up which is already cheaper and if you know what you are doing free.
@Barighm: So? Lot more jobs require you have a car does not mean a car is a necessity. No welfare to pay your car payments. And every company i know that absolutely requires the internet or a cell phone pay your cable or phone bill too.
And there is no change in those services you are talking about if you do them offline then they were 50 years ago. Difference is because of the internet and online people are ignorant to how to do it. Not a single one requires it because that would violate about 20 laws if you are talking about government and medical services.
