Regarding the video, I just beat Dragon Age: Inquisition for the second time, loved the Trespasser DLC, and hearing that this is like an improved Inquisition only makes me more excited for Andromeda.
And being worried that the new game will lack the 'wow' factor that Mass Effect 1 and 2 had? That strikes me as a vaguely ridiculous complaint. Of course this won't have the same surprise and wonder as a completely new IP doing new things with the RPG genre. It's a Mass Effect game. I'm buying a Mass Effect game. I want another Mass Effect game. That's just fine.
Regarding Tamoor's article, thanks for looking deeper at the narrative elements that have made Bioware games so satisfying in the past.
@BabeNewelll: Sounds like you and Call of Duty have a steady relationship, then. The game comes out and makes lots of money, you briefly complain, everyone's happy. :D
@Thanatos2k: If I've ever been banned, I sure don't know about it. You're welcome to look at my post history. Nothing hidden, and not really angry. Don't know who you're confusing me with. I used to have a different account as PaleMemories, never used it to post much at all, changed my name to be consistent across websites, but you're welcome to search that, too.
In the end, though, what you assume about me doesn't matter much. I just happen to like Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
@Thanatos2k: I'm 38-years-old. If I'm not fine by now liking whatever-the-hell I like, no matter what Random Angry Guy on the Internet Thinks, I never will be.
Keep doing your thing, dude. I'll keep doing mine.
@Fandango_Letho: In the beta, and now in release, I enjoyed the campaign missions, but this game's real strength is in the MOBA-shooter multiplayer. That's where it has tactical depth and a fun degree of complexity.
And it makes me smile.
It's not perfect, it's not as pretty as Overwatch, but for someone with only decent twitch skills, it's a great multiplayer experience for me, and it really rewards teamwork. There's a lot to love here, and I hope people give it a shot.
