Sonic Generations teaser gameplay response.

Allow me to release my inner fanboy. *ahem*

HOLY S***! THIS IS LOOKS FREAKIN' AWESOME!

I am very happy to see this game come over to the 360 since I do not have a Wii (of course I feel sorry for Wii owners). Having Classic Sonic play like the old games and Modern Sonic play like Unleashed/Colors looks to be quite an amazing game. Who knows, this may be the best 3-D Sonic game out there. This definitely looks to redeem Sega for their piss poor 15th Anniversary. Tell me what you guys think.

Playstation Move Heroes: First Impressions

I went over to my friend's house today to try out the new Playstation Move along with the game he bought for the very reason, Playstation Move Heroes. When I first heard about this, I would think that somehow they would create a cross-over platformer considering it features a few of Sony's best platforming franchises: Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank. However, my opinion quickly changed over to a negative reception when I found that it was going to be a mini-game compilation. I was quickly turned off from it. However, my friend was actually rather interested. He views this as the best game for the Move so far, so I decided to give it a go.

So, what do I think? Well, let me get the negatives out of the way. First, I still don't like the fact that this is not a platformer. What is worse is that you can't even jump. Second, the story is very weak and generic. Third, there aren't many mini-games to choose from and only a few worlds.

But for what it's worth Playstation Move Heroes is actually better than I initially thought. For one, the controls were surprisingly functional. The control scheme seemed awkward at first (at least on the scheme I had where you use the Playstation Move stick and the left side of your PS3 controler at the same time), but I quickly got used to them and it was actually comfortable. What few mini-games they have are pretty fun. I also like how they still managed to get the original voice actors for each character and they managed to stay true to their personalities. Quite a few reacurring characters from each series are in here as well. The graphics are really good as well, looking sort of like a cell-shaded Ratchet and Clank game, and the music is decent.

Overall, if you are into mini-games and want a Move, then try this game out. Fans of the Sony platforming stars wanting to try it ought to approach this with an opened mind. Don't expect a lot from this, but expect something decent.

30 Day Challenge: Day 1

Thanks to Ryagan's blog I decided to go ahead and do this as well. My favorite game of last year would probably be Metroid Prime. It most likely is my favorite game in the Metroid series and it really set new standards for the series in general.

Playstation + your favorites

Well since my N64 blog was a success I figured I'll go into other consoles. This time it is the Playstation. I, unfortunately, don't have many fond memories of the system. It's not because I didn't like the system (I love it), but I was unfortunate enough not to grow up enough with it (but that was what the N64 was for). However, that doesn't mean that I completely missed out on it. I do remember such fond games as Ape Escape, Spyro the Dragon, and Twisted Metal 2, as well as Pac-Man World and Metal Slug. I'm now starting to get more into the Playstation library since I have a little more access to money and classic games. More recently I managed to play Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, and Final Fantasy 8, as well as getting my hands on Metal Slug X again. I'm hoping to soon get more Crash games and the Spyro games. So now I would like to know your favorites (as well as reccomendations).

Well it has been a while since I posted a blog, so I figured I'll post one to see what your tastes are. Here we have my favorite game console the N64. I've been playing this since 1999 and don't really plan to stop using it (unless things got broken, which will make me mad). So I will be posting a list of my favorite N64 games (which may be liable to change someday) and I'd like to know your favorites.

Day 1 on the job.

Well, I worked my ass off for six hours today. Let me say that my legs and feet are truly paying the price. However, despite that, it wasn't too bad. I am hoping to get off a little earlier so that it would be less harsh on my legs and feet. The good thing about being in the back most of the time is that I am surrounded by people that are pretty funny. There is usually never a moment where I am not cooking something or lifting something, so at least I'm usually not bored. Needless to say, I may never want to eat at another restaurant like this again (unless it's for the ice cream). When that glorious day that I get my first pay check comes, it will be worth it.

So I shall be gone tommorow as well.

Cheerio ;)

I got a job!

Yay! I am (soon to be) part of the workforce, which means making money and paying taxes. I will begin my training on Thursday. This of course means less time on Gamespot and playing games in general. But of course I will still visit around once a day, post on your blogs, and still play games on my free time. As for what my job is, it's basically food service, the typical teen job. But hey, we got to start somewhere. Besides, it will be nice to recieve $7.38 an hour to gradually build up and eventually make up for a very stupid mistake on my part.

I just hope I can actually keep the job. Anyway, I'll see you guys later.

Cheerio ;)
