Well ok scaled image got it. My TV is lying to me saying its displayed in 1920*1080. DAMN YOU LCD HDTV... Please mods lock this topic now b4 any more shame comes to me...
Ok I understand what all you guys are saying about a scalar but when my tv is in 720p it says that its resolution is 1280*720 and when it's in so called 1080p its my tv shows that its resolution is 1920*1080 the difference would be 1,152,000 which i think is quite a big difference... Now can anyone explain that oh and btw i disabled 1080i so the PS3 won't switch to that resolution. Maybe I'm just crazy but really it isn't the difference between 720p and 1080p that i see its the difference between 1280*720 and 1920*1080.
Any tv that is under 45" you wont be able to see the difference between 720p and 1080p unless you are some crazy videophile, my guess is your mind desperately wants you to 1080p so it lies to you. (also you should set your ps3 to 1080i if your have blu ray movies otherwise it will scale down to 480p.epic_nemesis
