@aiden_kasel: yes, but still had downgraded graphics from initial trailers...lol...you know...like every other company does...even mcdonalds uses plastic hamburgers for their commercials.
Not slagging Witcher at all either, one of my fave games this year...soo sooo good
@mikemurphy80: you really have no idea how a beta works do you? You do realize the goal was not to show a vast amount of content, but to stress test their servers right...but hey...cool story brah...
can we do away with the bullet sponge issue...how many people in here play RPG's?
In any of those games, did you ever swing a sword for a one hit kill? How easy would that game be...now I know we are using guns, but come on...one hit kills would make this ridiculously easy. Not even in FPS games do headshots always drop people in one shot.
I know it breaks immersion, but lets be fair here...as an RPG/MMO this is pretty common fare.
@jguilherme: you do realize that witcher dlc wont be free right? As well, you must understand why this is happening correct? Games are underpriced...if you don't want pre-packaged DLC, then games need to increase in price or pre-orders need to go way up...which thanks to destiny, isn't happening any time soon.
You can't expect publishers to enter into development without some form of safety net in terms of baked in revenues. This is why we have dlc, microtransactions, and pre-orders, so IP publishers know that they have some kind of forecasted revenue to ensure they can deliver bug fixes, new development, etc.
This is not rocket science, but uneducated gamers think everything should be free.
@bbq_R0ADK1LL: enough with the bullet sponge crap...in any rpg..how many times do you have to hack an enemy in the head with a sword or arrow...this argument makes zero sense...stop using it...you sound stupid
@joby1234: its an rpg / mmo....seriously...how many swings of a sword would it take to kill something in witcher or how many bullets to kill a deathclaw in fallout....this comment is so annoying. If this was a FPS, then yes, that would be an issue....apples and oranges man
@gotrekfabian: not sure I agree with that...I played the alpha, game looked great...the recent announcement that they are focusing on a 1 to 1 look of mid town NYC is hardly a bad thing...plus, all the other Burroughs will be released as dlc, free in some cases...how is free dlc bad??
