It's good to see some developers get it.

He gets paid to tell investors what's going to happen in the world of Video Games. If he's wrong a lot, eventually no one will care what he says and he will effectively lose his job. Personally I wonder why it hasn't happened yet.

He's always just pulling opinions out of his butt with no hard facts or any indication that he has industry sources. He must know a lot about Wall Street and finance because I would bet anyone posting here knows as much and more than he does about gaming.

"there aren't many games that are going to take advantage of (the tablet)". Right, so few games took advantage of the DS touch screen.Having point and click like a mouse and a keyboard are things ANY game can take advantage of, even if thouch controls aren't specifically integrated into gameplay.

Seriously unprofessional talk about whether or not Nintendo "sucks" and being insulting to "fanboys". I think someone struck a nerve reminding him how wrong he was about the Wii. Why does anyone care what this guy says?

It's phones more than tablets. Most people get their phones for less than a DS when they agree to a 2 year plan. Android tablets are also a lot cheaper than iPads and they're catching up as far as games released. Plus most people have smartphones because they want a smartphone, and gaming is icing on the cake. More new smartphones are sold in one quarter than DS's in their entire lifespan since 2004.

That's true, but the trick is convincing the consumer. As far as I've seen Nintendo and Sony done zero marketing to tell the world at large why their handhelds are better for gaming than phones and why you want to buy one. Also like someone else here said they have to stop charging US $40.00 or $50.00 for handheld games.

People expect iPhone games to cost around $5, if anything. Nintendo isn't about to sell Mario for $5, minus Apple's cut.
