Yeah but he also said there would be no new 3DS hardware, then a week later they announced the XL. Maybe they were waiting to see if he was scamming them again.
Not following your logic. Why does he have any interest in remaining faithful to the game? Ubi-Soft producing the movie on their own is more relevant in that respect.
MS and Sony have a vested interest in spreading disinformation about the Wii U's capabilities. Since Nintendo hasn't announced the specs and there are conflicting reports, I tend to believe the statements from people who aren't direct competitors or beholden to direct competitors.
MS and Sony are going to have a hard time convincing people to shell out for a new console. Even here among the hardcore, many commenters aren't interested. Better graphics isn't going to do it. To the untrained eye, they can't get much better than they are now. (On the other hand the marked improvement of Wii U over Wii will get people to jump.) In most households, where there is only one game machine, the machine of choice is going to remain Nintendo's.
I feel compelled to say I'm not a Nintendo fanboy, I own and enjoy all three (and 3DS and Vita as well). This is just the way I see things going, based on the evidence I pointed out.
Microsoft keeps trying to get into the music, movies, entertainment business and it never works. They've been trying this same strategy for over a decade. Silly MicroSoft.
Why is this so hard to believe? People know they don't start working on a new console only after they anounce them, right? The Wii U was announced over a year ago, they'd obviously been working on it for a while, and it's still months away. It also takes years to develop games that become launch titles, hence development boxes need to be available years in advance.
The cancellation fee goes down over time. In the last month it's only $12. It's all in the article.
I don't think this is a very good deal though. You're better off waiting and saving your money because you can buy a whole year of Live for the equivalent of 4 months of this plan, and if at some point for some reason you can't afford the live subscription any more you get slammed with a termination fee. If you can't afford $15 how are you going to afford the termination fee? There goes your credit rating. Think hard before doing this.
