@billzihang: "You know, the fact that a lot of people pirate some things because they refuse to buy them."
Interesting you think that makes it OK. So if I think Kias are terrible cars that break down a lot and I would never buy one, does it make it OK for me to steal one? Why would I want to steal something I don't want in the first place? I'm not buying your line of reasoning. Being a bestselling game doesn't offset or justify it's being a top pirated game. Where are your ethics?
People steal games because they can, because it's easy and because there are almost never any consequences. Then it becomes a habit. Hardcore pirates can't imagine themselves buying a game, and no one really knows what percentage of the pirates are those people.
@bickle2: "By the end of 2016, PC game sales are expected to reach $29 billion around the world, compared with $28 billion in sales for the console market." c|net. Google is your friend.
@Stebsis: I acknowledged he said he doesn't endorse piracy. Where can I see an reputable fact check of statements like "it doesn't mean it's really cutting into your sales margin by any significant degree" and "those people wouldn't be buying the game anyway?"
