Oh look another generic, cartoony-looking, co-op RPG playable online with your "friends". *Barf*

To call this a "sale" is an insult to actual sales all around the world.

@lionheartssj1: Why I think it's one of the worst episodes? Well the whole Negan character is annoying and grating after anything more than 15 minutes. His monologue(s) gets repetitive and he just keeps hammering home how much of a psycho he is. Fine, I got that in the first Negan episodes (which was also pretty bad), no need to repeat it over and over again.

Secondly his whole grasp on power is extremely exaggerated. The guy walks off alone, through a compound of armed killers, with nothing but a baseball bat for protection and no one managed to shoot his ass yet? Considering that his men revere him like a god why didn't Rosita (who is all about revenge now) just shoot him when she was armed to the teeth, behind walls, in a gated community? She had the drop on him since she saw him through the nylon (or whatever the hell was covering the front gate), why not just shoot him then? Did you just figure it out after they took your guns that you wanted revenge? Or how about one of his lackeys, which are all shown to be bloodthirsty killers? None of them wanted to seize power? The explanation that the show is trying to come up with ("Negan lets his men do whatever they want") is bullshit since the pure definition of anarchy is that everybody does whatever the hell they want.

Negan's whole character isn't grounded in any reality and his rise to power has zero logic. Where was he throughout Seasons 1-6 (until half way through)? Did he all of a sudden come to power and now has complete control of all of Georgia? If he doesn't have control over the whole state why don't the rest of people under his rule (especially gunless Rick and his group of dumbasses) just leave? The Governor had a gated, well organized community which he manipulated through cunning and charisma and then he had a tank. Both of those things are pretty good in the zombie apocalypse and were major reasons why the Governor was able to "rule" over his people. Negan is never shown to have anything resembling that. He just materialized out of nothing because the show needs a villain.

But it's not just Negan that's the problem. The whole episode smacked of filler. Rick moping (again), the Saviors being bad (again), the Saviors taking tribute (again), Daryl moping (again), etc. Honestly the whole season is very slow. It's bringing back memories of the last half of Season 4 when they were all separated and we had to watch 7 episodes of everybody trying to find everybody else. Now we have the exact same scenario but with zero zombies and 100% more Negan. On a final note, the zombies in this show are becoming a joke. After they were shown to be a credible threat during the last 2 seasons they have, again, dropped completely off the map. It's not like this show has ever been very clever about how humanity could've been defeated by lumbering, mindless zombies that can't walk any faster than a slow crawl but at least TWD always found ways to make these useless zombies dangerous. Not this season. This season they don't even bother showing us the kills anymore.

This episode is one of the worst episodes, if not THE worst episode, since season 2. Negan is becoming downright annoying and his plotline is absolutely absurd. I know this is based on a comic book but this whole arc is not grounded at all in any of the reality that makes good television or fleshed out characters.

@csward: It's ok if you're in denial but my point still stands and you have rebuked nothing but confirmed that the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia are completely clouding some people's vision.

@MXVIII: That's a REMAKE (http://www.gamespot.com/final-fantasy-vii-remake/) not a REMASTER. One is a new game created from scratch the other is just repurposed old code and assets.

@MXVIII: Nothing is impossible but why bother wasting development time with 20+ year old games? The effort required to make these games playable and enjoyable for a new audience is not worth it and if they straight up remaster them (without any changes) they would simply suck by today's standards.

@MXVIII: You can't "easily add" some of those new features and keep the gameplay intact. It would require some amount of rethinking. The game's limitations worked when it came to difficulty and the way the battles worked. If you just give players the ability to select and group 50+ units and then say "I'm done" you're gonna hear the wailing and the bitching that the game is unbalanced, too easy, etc. Add a layered interface that allows you to cast spells from your huge ass blob and then you have another issue that you have to solve. Finally you also need to rethink the pathfinding of the units as having 50 units move as a group compared to the previous 4 is a whole new ball game.

But that's not the end of the issue, that's only the beginning in fact, because after you redesign and rethink the way the controls work you have to code it into the game. And it's not just as easy as saying "well I'm just going to up this variable from 4 to 50" because: you need to find the developers who wrote the code or have some new ones read through it, there were probably limitations to those control schemes back in the day which you now have to fix, you have to take that (large) portion of code, rethink it, rewrite it and then obviously test it. In addition you'll also need to provide development and testing effort for the actual port, the new OSes, the new resolutions, etc.

So instead of doing all this work so a few thousand people can bitch and moan that the game isn't like it used to be and that the micromanagement is dead and that it used to be better when you could only select 4 units or make 6 groups (which is EXACTLY what happened to Starcraft 2) why not just make a new game?

Company's just can't win now-a-days. If they remaster their games they're money grubbing lazy asses if they don't remaster their games they don't "give a shit" about their older fans.

But that doesn't matter, because internet angst-filled nostalgia conquers all. W1 and W2 might've been something for their time but I highly doubt that anyone reading this (or mostly everyone who posted) has any clue about what limitations those games have. For example in W1 you could only select up TO FOUR (4) units at once and you couldn't create control groups. In any one mission you had to micromanage DOZENS of units. This was extremely tedious. Hell, in fact W2 didn't add grouping units together until W2: Battle.net Edition. But it's not only the controls that sucked but the mission structure which had a grand total of TWO types of missions, the lack of story, the useless spells, the boring early game, the lack of any counter mechanisms, etc.

Instead of remastering games because some kid on the internet is filled with nostalgia and thinks that games in the mid 90s were the shit mostly because his friends told him so and he couldn't read to figure out how the game worked I'd much rather have new content. I'd rather have a new Warcraft or another expansion to Starcraft or anything new and innovative, not the same old garbage rehashed for a quick buck.
